Only Thai restaurant in Yelm. The vegan options are tasty and it’s worth the stop if you’re coming through our small town. As there aren’t many options around. Not saying there aren’t any, just saying this one is recommended over some others. Warning: make sure you ask if dishes are vegan or can be veganized. They know the difference. All the curries have fish sauce and cannot be veganized. Luckily many other dishes can be. Updated from previous review on 2025-07-05

Wasn't very inviting at all.The dish that I ordered was supposed to be stirfried and looked and tasted boiled. There was no flavor at all and I had to ask for some sauce just so I could eat it.The quality of the food was not worth the $20 I spent on it at all.

Asain Noodle Salad is tha Bomb!! So good, we get it half chicken half tofu... love this place, just like its cousins Lemon Grass in Lacey and Oly, only complaint is the booth seats are tired and worn out, you sit in a hole, but that for sure will not stop us from coming back!

I want to like Red Lantern—the atmosphere is nice, the staff is friendly, and the ingredients seem fresh (crisp veggies, colorful presentation). But the experience is consistently frustrating.

On my most recent visit, I ordered the (56) Vietnamese noodle salad. It arrived without the egg roll, and I was only told after the food had been prepared and was waiting in the back that they were out. The dish was also missing peanuts, green onions, and garlic—ingredients listed on the menu—and it lacked any noticeable spice, despite my request for it to be spicy. This has been a recurring issue on every visit. The overall flavor was bland, with not enough sauce or seasoning to bring it together.

Service was quite slow. Our table had been wiped down but still had bits of leftover food on it, and we didn’t receive any plates, napkins, or silverware until several minutes after our food had been brought out. It also feels like the restaurant may be understaffed, which might explain some of the delays.

I appreciate the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the produce, but there are always issues—missing components, weak flavor, or long wait times. For the price, the lack of consistency makes it hard to justify coming back.

The door was amazing. I got the Red lantern chicken. Flavor are perfect. Definitely the best I have hard in Washington and now also in Oregon. Beat all my favorite Thai restaurants. Plus had Mongolian beef for my husband. However he even like my food and kept asking for another bite!! Kudos team!!

Overpriced for the horrible quality. $57 total. for Singapore noodles with absolutely no flavor at all when asked for some sort of sauce to make it better they charged me. They had hot spicy chili flavor in the sweet and sour, the peanut sauce and the rubber crab rangoons and chili dip.
the damn near burnt batter fell right off the prawns the noodles were dry. We came in to sit down and eat and we were served in to go boxes. overall I give it a minus 5

My husband and I went to lunch there after some friends recommended it. I had stir fried vegetables with cashews and chicken and he had an Asian curry. We both had a spice level of 2 but I will try 3 next time. Everything was absolutely delicious, and not very expensive. Definitely a place to go again.

This is one of the best places in Yelm to eat at. They need to branch out to other locations. I love the workers the food. Best experience I have had in yelm. My family enjoys it so much I do as well.

Singapore noodle dish was excellent- medium heat was basically no heat though! Coconut prawns were also yummy. It was very cold outside and every time the door opened it was quite chilly.
