My husband and I were looking forward to lunch here today, but unfortunately, we never even made it to ordering. Everything seemed fine at first as we waited to be seated. A waitress approached and told us she would clear a table for us at the front of the restaurant. Since we preferred to sit in the bar, where there was also an available table that needed clearing, I asked if we could take that one instead. Her response? A sharp “Sure, but it’s going to take a minute because I have to clear it.” At first, I didn’t think much of it, because the original table she planned to seat us at also needed to be cleared. But that’s when things took a bizarre turn. Instead of simply clearing the bar table, she deliberately stalled for another ten minutes, making multiple passes through the bar to stop and chat with the bartender—each time glancing in our direction with a smirk. It felt undeniably spiteful, as if she was going out of her way to punish us for requesting a different table. By the time we were finally seated, the tension was high and extremely uncomfortable. I turned to my husband and said, I don’t want to stay. The waitress’s blatant rudeness and disrespect made it clear—this wasn’t a place worth spending our money. So, we left and headed a few blocks down to Masonry Cafe, where we had an excellent lunch with friendly, welcoming service. The contrast was night and day. If you’re looking for a meal where you’re treated with basic respect, I’d recommend skipping this place and going somewhere that actually values its customers.
Last two time we’ve been there, they-had issues with serving people in a timely manner
Just ate here for the first time. The 16oz ribeye was excellent! Perfectly cooked and delicious. My only suggestion would be to add some bread to the meal, to help mop up the plate and make the meal a bit more filling. Only a small complaint. Well worth a visit.

This place is THE BEST! I have never had a bad food item from this place. The Local EASILY has the best kitchen/food items in Yelm- you won't find higher quality food - and the Chef, Kelly, is freaking incredible. Bri makes amazing cocktails and, in general - between the drinks and the food -you won't have a bad expirance here.

Everything came to the table looked appetizing. We order 3 appetizers. The poutine was too salty! I mean very salty and so we sent it back. The artichoke dip was bland, but once again salt was the dominant flavor. The calamari tasted like greasy fried batter. We were deeply disappointed.

Bree is an amazing bartender. Great recommendations and skills. Even for someone with face tatts! She refused to over serve me, so I just stopped. She turned my life around.
Good food great service. Kinda spendy but it's absolutely worth it. I had the beef wrap with fries.

Went last night around 7pm, not busy at all. Ordered a wrap, a powerbowl, and a few beers. It took over 45 mins to receive our mediocre food. The young lady who was our server was nice, but all she could say was sorry it took so long. Personally, I won't return!

Really wanted to support this local business and have dined a handful of times, but would no longer go back. Every time my partner and I come here, we’re greeted in a panic by flustered wait staff telling you why we shouldn’t expect much.
This place clearly doesn’t have the capacity to serve the amount of people that come in. The kitchen and bar just can’t handle it. Every time we’ve gone over the course of months the food has taken insultingly long, and you end up here hours longer than you ever wanted to be.
I kept trying to give them a shot because the food is good and the waitstaff are trying and always nice. I’ve watched people walk out bc they’ve been left waiting - that shouldn’t happen. Why arent the waitstaff using trays or writing orders down? I imagine it’d speed things up if they were able to carry more than 2 drinks at a time?
I was in the industry for over a decade and I usually I never complain, but something here is just not working. I hope this place gets it together, because the waitstaff and customers deserve better.
Great food but super slooooow kitchen it took 30-40 minutes to get our breakfast order and they did not seem that busy. Their dungeness crab eggs Benedict is amazing. Also hard to find parking when we first arrived.
Parking: Not much space allotted for this restaurant
