This is my second time at il grasso and, since my first experience was wonderful, I was excited to take my family there to celebrate a special occasion. It was NOT a stellar experience. I had the pasta with langostino (fresh water “lobster”). I paid $40 for a paper plate with about a dollar's worth of pasta and the lobster tail was still in the shell...which is fine except the tail was burnt and bits of it had broken into the pasta. Two grilled tomatoes on the vine accompanied...

This place has food, atmosphere, and wine. What else do you need? The servers are top notch. The chefs are inspired. The atmosphere is nothing short of everything an estate winery promises surrounded by lavender fields. I can not recommend enough.

Il Grasso is always amazing. Delicious food. Beautiful atmosphere. Incredible service. Plus on your birthday they sing a beautiful Zambian song. If you haven't been you need to change that ASAP.
