Velen Winery is a gem, where you are treated like old friends rather than customers. John (Winemaker) and Becca are kind, funny, generous, and are eager to share their story, their wines and their time with you. The tasting room is warm, relaxed and unpretentious, and the views of the mountains and rolling hills are beautiful. Velen offers a nice variety of delicious wines, each with their own story and many produced from estate grown grapes. If you are looking for an authentic and intimate wine experience away from the crowds, Velen is a must-visit. We left with great wine, great memories and new lifelong friends!

A great little winery just off I-182 between Yakima and Tri-Cities. Proprietors are lovely couple who tell great stories and are enthusiastic to share their wine selections. Wines range from full-bodied, earthy, Cabs and Merlots to fun, fruity whites and roses. Something for everyone. Well-worth the short side trip!
