Keep in mind this is still gas station/fast food, so not the same scale or expectations as fine dining. My husband and I were in the area and needed to stop for lunch. Our expectations were low, but we figured we would try the “official chicken of the New Orleans Pelicans”. We were prepared to be disappointed, but wound up pleasantly surprised! The chicken was juicy and flavorful and the tenders were a good size. I was nervous about the catfish and it was actually delicious. Well seasoned, generous portion, and cooked perfectly. The fish was glistening and moist. There were some crispy bits around the edges, but still plenty of juicy fish if you don’t care for the edges. The mac and cheese was good! Potato wedges were thick and well seasoned. Biscuits were good, I would prefer without the honey, but it was fun and kept them soft. Honestly it was a really enjoyable lunch and I’m glad we tried it!
