Stopped on our way thru Alma. Welcoming nice staff. They were short staffed so it took awhile for our food to come, but it was great and worth the wait. I had eggs, pancakes and ham..the buttermilk pancakes were excellent and the ham was thick cut, juicy and tender. My husband had the Eagles Nest and said it was very good. We definitely would return on our next time thru!

Lots of potential here. Great location, nice Mom/Pop type place. Short staffed for a Saturday but that's the norm post-Covid. Food wasn't cooked - BF had an omelet which he said was tasty but was soft/runny on the inside. I ordered two over medium eggs with hashbrowns. The entire plate was clear egg white running into half fried hashbrowns and the yolks looked like they barely hit the griddle. Rye toast was delish but not much more to say.

I waited 55 minutes for my food. Was told it was because a party of 13 were ahead of me. But even the 13 people in that party waited a long time, then were served one-by-one. The people who got their meals first were done eating before their friends at the same table even got their meals. I overheard the waitress tell them that they could only make two omelettes at a time.

This place has seriously gone downhill. Go to Beth’s in Nelson if you’re actually hungry and want to eat. The service was non-existent. Had to go up to ask for a menu. Had to place order at register after not being acknowledged for 15 minutes. Had to ask the dirty dishes from previous customer be removed from our table about 20 minutes. Asked how much longer our order would be after 45 minutes and was told there were 5 orders ahead of ours yet and the place isn’t even that big! There were no apologies or concern expressed by wait staff. Saw other customers have to get up and find their own to-go boxes. Was a birthday tradition for several years for my dad and I to come here each June. You couldn’t pay me to go back!

I was on vacation in Alma and I visited Pier 4 three times. I had the biscuits and gravy twice. They were delicious!!! Then I had eggs over-easy, bacon and hashbrowns. Again delicious! Beautiful views. Love seeing the barges and the trains!!!

Average diner food. They need to add a vegetarian option or two. Pleasant server. I liked that their "holiday" lights were on inside. Always a nice touch. Enjoyed the trains going by and the view of the water. We were glad to find them open on a Monday in April, when many restaurants in the area were closed.

The breakfast was awesome !! 4 of us ate here and were treated like family. After asking about the model train that runs along the ceiling they powered it up very cool . Then the real train came by only feet just outside, it will definitely blow your mind! one of the best little restraunt's I've ever visited

Small, modest, clean restaurant with excellent sandwiches! They smoke all their own meat. I had the smoked turkey sandwich, which was tender, generous, and delicious. It was served on a Kaiser roll with tomato, lettuce, and mayo. Ordered tots as well, which were crisp outside, tender inside, hot, and not greasy. Restaurant was quiet on a Tuesday noon. Friendly, competent service. I will stop here again!

Really good food, I had the Pier 4 burger with their tangy BBQ on the side, cheese curds were really good. Cool vibes on the patio, 75 degree day was perfect. Reasonably priced and good service too.

Parking: Easy parking on the street right in front on a Saturday

Nothing comes with a sandwich for 10.95. Thought was a little spendy. Smoked turkey sandwich was a pressed meat patty.

This is a clean breakfast restaurant featuring a lovely view of the river. Service is wonderful. Quality of the ingredients in the food is very good and prepared just as requested.

Cute little place sitting next to the river. Pulled pork was wonderful and though the "tangy" sauce was different from what I am used to, I really liked it. Coleslaw was very creamy and the tator tots were super good. Took a cinnamon roll as big as my face home to try later as I was very full. Definitely recommend for lunch.

Ate breakfast at Pier 4 this past Sunday morning. It was so good, reasonably priced and such a great atmosphere. Sat on the screened in porch. I highly recommend stopping in for abgreat food experience.
