Nice, cozy place to stay. Everything is clean and organized. Jennifer is a wonderful host, very friendly and pleasant. Our room was comfortable, the ceiling fan kept air circulating and the room temp was great for sleeping.
The bed was a bit soft for our liking, otherwise comfortable. There is a kitchen with coffee, snacks, and microwave. Two bathrooms and a tv room with a refrigerator for guests.
Motion sensor lights are strategically placed in the hallway and provide adequate lighting at night.
The full bar is great place to congregate and enjoy a libation or two before turning in. Be advised there are two cats that have the run of the bar. If that bothered you, you might consider something different.
Overall, great place. I would definitely stay here again.

Quaint shop, great selection, beautiful wool kit and pattern selection!
The Burlington Hotel was such a memorable stop on our weekend away. The bar was open and made for a fun greeting and lullaby to bed (earplugs were provided but not used). The hotel consists of separate bedrooms as hotel rooms and a shared kitchenette and a few shared bathrooms. It is well kept and full of rich pieces of history that accent its character and personality. We had a great time and would definitely stay again.

Had a very strange experience that resulted in us leaving and not staying the night by choice. This bar and hotel has cats that the tenants are responsible for not letting upstairs into the sleeping quarters. No automatic closers on the back exterior door or the downstairs entry door leading into the air bnb. Which seems like a sure fire way to keep doors closed and felines in their appropriate locations. We left for dinner shortly after checking in around 6pm and returned around 830pm. When we entered into the establishment we were stopped and told the one of her felines supposedly had gotten outside due to the rear exit door being left open. She then proceeded to ask if our two young sons could go find the cat outside insinuating that it was their fault. Shortly after this issue being presented to us we went upstairs to our room and pondered what had just happened. In conclusion we decided it was best to leave and remove ourselves from this crazy situation. People should not be expected to look after others animals while paying for a room! I would not recommend this establishment!

We came to fish and really enjoyed our stay. We just needed a place to sleep and this place was the ticket. It's like a bed and breakfast, but replace breakfast with a cool bar! Hope to be back soon!

Well we didn’t actually stay at the Burlington . We found this gem on our quest for quilt shops on the or near the Mississippi River. To our great disappointment, it was closed. To our even greater amusement , the huge sign on the side of the building(says quilt in photo) stated GUILT shop! To appease our disappointment, we took a stroll through this historic town. The smell of fresh baked bread lead us to the local bakery. The wares displayed on the sidewalk were pies cookies and bread. The container on the table said “ take what you need, pay what you can”. Those were not day old , as one would imagine. My gals and I will testy that the blueberry mango lemon pie we shared was the most amazing pie ever created. I stepped inside the ancient building to pay for our treasure when I found they had baked the most delightful giant pretzels. Fresh out of the oven and still warm. Crisp and salty outside and soft and warm inside. A heated debate ensued as to which was more magnificent.Since then, I was inspired to write a glowing review for the ladies at the bakery, imploring travelers, Do not drive past! You won’t regret it! Think of it as a good deed for your fellow man, as I selfishly desire to visit this treasure and find the smell of bakery wafting through the streets of Alma once again. The “guilt” shop lead us there , the bakery will bring us back.
The Burlington Hotel & Quilt shop is actually open as The Burlington Hotel Bar & Shop. It is no longer a Quilt Shop, but a social meeting place with coffee, drinks, snacks, and a fun place to hang out. SO IT"S NOT CLOSED!!!
