Buffets in Ashland, WI

“Well, I had to come back & do an update. I'm happy to report things have improved tremendously. I ate there Fri night & the fish was fabulous. Three kinds of fish, walleye, white & perch. All were very tender & perfectly fried. There was also baked, but I was too full to try it. The presentation was clean & fresh. I now can highly recommend
Eating here. What a delight! Good job management. So glad to have this place to enjoy now. I still recommend going early as I ate at 5pm. Can't say what happens later. The male waiter was very friendly & service was great.

Too bad this place isn't presenting their food better because Ashland really needs a good buffet. A little over priced at $20 for poorly managed buffet. I came a little late 7:30, a lot of food was dried out, missing & looked like it had been sitting there over it's time limit. I never saw anyone bring anything out fresh the whole time I was there. This used to be a Mexican restaurant & was fabulous so I was really disappointed. I get the impression they don't really know how to do a proper American buffet. They have 2 sections, Mexican & American. The salad bar was passable & some of the Mexican side, wings were great, but most of it I wouldn't touch. The concept is doable, but needs some better supervision & fresh food & cleanliness & work on presentation. I can't recommend it until they get this under control. If you do go, make sure you go early. I went back at 5 another time & it was much better, but still not being kept fresh enough. I'd like to see this place improve & stick around. The waitress however was great.“
