This was our 2nd time here! Our first was in 2021. We had their APPLEFEST beer at Erickson's Orchards earlier in the day at their festivities. This time, I had to stop and get some, but they only had it on tap. We stayed and had a few drinks and listened to the group playing some good bluegrass music! I even bought one of their sweatshirts! The man bartending was awesome! He was so nice and informative about where I could buy some of their canned beer. Definitely recommended this place!!! 👌

Stopped by the Ashland location yesterday around the noon hour. Enjoyed a lightly smoked beer. The bartender was very welcoming, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the locally brewed beer. Will definitely visit again next time in town. ?

South Shore Brewery/ Deep water grill are a must stop in Ashland. The brewery and grill are just of Lake Superior in an awesome historic building. For beer on my last stop they had 7 of their beers on tap including their Nut brown, Octoberfest, 2 pilsners, a Pale ale, a wheat, and a sour. They also had 4 guest taps, standard beers in cans and bottles as well as a full bar.
The food is very good as well. They had burgers, wraps, steak, fish (including lake Superior white fish), salads, and I always order the nut brown beer cheese soup.
Awesome to have a place like this in Ashland. I stop here every time I am in town, you should too.

The interior is beautiful and stylish, but the service was mediocre. The waitress was not friendly or welcoming, seemed to be annoyed with something. No one comes up to the table during the visit. We came for a quick snack, but this place is more of a dinner-type place.

Good food and beer but the service was poor. We sat at the bar and had to wait 10+ minutes for our second beer. Waited 20+ minutes to pay our tab and only got help because I shouted down a bartender. It’s too bad because otherwise a nice place.

We have always had great beer here and love our IPA’s, was very disappointing to come and no IPA’s at all, not even a pale ale :( so we had the Luna coffee stout which was good but the way it was poured we literally had 3/4 of a glass so not happy about that. I guess I will be checking to see what’s on tap before we come back.
