Chester's Fried Chicken

As a Trucker Ill stop for Chester's chicken, as they also sell Gizzards my favorite munch while going down the road , eating on the run (which is an everyday thing in this business .)

It was in a gas station so the atmosphere is meh. I have never had Chester’s Chicken before and it was awesome!!

Ordered (10 or 12 piece) chicken family meal. Chicken was undercooked. Given a single portion via family portion of Mac and chz. Biscuits were dried out. Potato wedges were amazing however again was not family portion.Waited infront of counter waiting/trying to order while two workers walked back and forth laughing seeming lost. They saw us standing and waiting. Both seemed very displaced and confused. Gal that took order and packaged our food didn't have hair pulled back or in a net. Hair was literally hanging down all around infront and around face, past shoulders. Didn't change gloves from one station to another. Inside of gloves just drenched with sweat, sliding off.She was very friendly though and provided service with a smile! So that was very nice. Gave her benefit of doubt cz cld have been in training.

I guess as far as chicken you can pick up on your way home from work it is great. Probably not to healthy though

Not at all happy with my experience here today. I called ahead of time to make sure they would be open & serving as we were coming from out-of-town.... I used to go to Chester’s when I was little with my dad. The two locations closest to our house shut down years ago.This was supposed to be a Father’s Day surprise. (We were told “we are open & serving as long as the gas station is open & we are open until 9.” ) I asked if calling ahead of time to order was necessary too & was told, “no.”We walked in there confused when we saw the hot bain empty. I went to ask the (rather large lady with short, dark hair & glasses) at the counter what was going on with the Chester’s Chicken... She very rudely told me, “the fryer shuts down at 4:30 & we sell the food until it’s gone for the night.” A) That’s against food safety code & B) That is NOTHING like what I was told earlier.I explained to her the situation & she didn’t even care nor apologize. This was a miscommunication between the workers! I literally spent $30 on gas just to get there when we would have went to a chicken place in our own town had we known that... If it were me working, I would have offered some drinks and the last couple of sandwiches (which were minutes away from “expiration”) AT LEAST to make up for the mistake... or a simple apology! ?

Very disappointed, love Chester fried but it was terribly greasy.

We love Chesters chicken always so tender and juicey. If you have never tried Chesters chicken you are really missing out. Chicken and biscuits are awesome to with the honey butter drizzled over the biscuits.
