Sat at bar then sat down at our table for 6. Great service. Everyone very personable. Food superb.
The team at Chives never fails to execute flawlessly. From greeting to deprture you are treated as a secial guest. The new renovations made a great space even better, and the culinary staff continues to flex their muscles with a fine menu and great specials. Couple that with a fine wine list, craft cocktails, and excellent service, and you have an exceptional dining experience. Chives is where we go for family celebrations or just to have a great meal
Excellent service and great food. We always enjoy eating at this great Door County restaurant.
Each of the 3 of us ordered something different from the specials menu. We allowed a taste of everything to be shared. We all loved each of the dishes. Creative and flavorful. Delicious. The Trio appetizer is also a favorite. Attentive and knowledgeable staff and great drinks were also appreciated.
The fancy potatoes were delicious!! Overall, food and service were outstanding. Love the location and ambience . Brunch was a wonderful Easter treat for our family!
We always make Chives one of our go to restaurants when visiting. Always delicious food and great service. The mussels and frites as well as the chicken Marsala are some of our favorites.
This was my first time eating at Chives, and I will definitely be back! Loved the atmosphere inside, warm and casual. Service was great, and the food was outstanding! I had the duck frites and it was one of the best duck preparations I've ever had. I highly recommend Chives for a nice dinner out.
We were traveling through DC and staying in Bailey's Harbor. A good friend recommended Chives as a favorite restaurant. Even though we reside in the SF, CA bay area, Chives will be added to a list of all time favorites. We had a delicious dinner, wine and excellent service. We appreciated the low noise level so we could talk and hear each other after a long drive from Madison. My husband had the ribeye cutlet, it was so wonderfully seasoned and tender, along with a cute cup of fries and an elegantly served salad in a cup. I had a caesar salad with added shrimp and we both thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and we could walk from our B & B. Thanks for making our first night and stay in DC so fun, enjoyable and delicious.
We had a lovely evening in the outdoor area. Our dinners were terrific. Great ambiance. Service was a bit slow...but overall a nice time. It's the experience right? Def on a fave list!
We started our dinner with cocktails and escargot. The drinks were both good, but the escargot was tasteless. We mentioned this to our server and he said he would let them know it the kitchen. He apologized again later in evening, but they did not do anything to make it right. Our dinner was a ribeye, fries and salad, all of which were very good. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very energetic, warm & cozy, which we really enjoyed. One other complaint we had was that the bathrooms were not the cleanest ~ they could have used a sprucing up halfway through the evening. Overall, we liked the restaurant and will go back, but definitely won't order the escargot again.

A favorite Door County restaurant! We are never disappointed in the quality of the food. The service is excellent, even when they are super busy during the ‘peak' season up here.
Mussels: very small and tepid; sauce: too much cream and not enough wine. But the worst: fries were piled on top of the mussels (soggy) and loaded with parmesan - dreadful!!! Skip the Caesar salad: romaine with too much bland dressing and a few large croutons - very small for $12.00. Whole meal was Very disappointing. However, Waiter, Tom, was great and outdoor seating was lovely.
We enjoyed a delicious Sunday Brunch at Chives! The service was impeccable, and the food absolutely delicious! My husband had the crab cakes with hollandaise sauce and said it rivaled the best he had ever had from Savannah! We all enjoyed the atmosphere and the interaction with our server! Absolutely the best way to start a Door Co vacation!
We have dined here in the past & it was fantastic. However, we came here for brunch on a Sunday morning with maybe one other table. My husband & I both got the omelet which was maybe luke warm. My husband asked if he could add bacon & they said no but could put it on the side. That makes me believe these omelets were already pre-made and slightly heated up when served. For how expensive our breakfast was, it was very subpar. As I said, we had dined her in the past for dinner and it was delicious so I'm not sure what happened.
Exquisite food! I live out of state and never catch a res in time. So glad I finally remembered to book in advance. Took my mom and everything from the goat cheese wontons to the beef cheeks Bourgogne was amazing! Barrel aged sazerac mixed to perfection. And our server, Eddy, made the experience. Kind, attentive, knowledgeable, perfect timing, checked in appropriately but never overbearing. Thanks for a great night Chives!
