The cocktails, bread, and appetizers were delicious. We would definitely recommend the Fireside Manhattans, house smoked salmon, mixed greens salad, and squash soup. The entrées were good, though the Spätzle with the beef cheeks bourguignon were sparse and gummy and not nearly as good as my homemade (a very simple dish to make). The server responsible for keeping our water glasses full was attentive. But, it was LOUD! The acoustics in this place *amplify* rather than dampen the harsh noise of loud voices and scraping chairs. We felt inclined to forfeit our reservation and go elsewhere, but there weren't great options on the fly. So, we put earplugs in and stayed. In the future we'd choose a different spot with a quiet environment that fosters conversation.

We had a very good experience with Chives. My wife said her salmon was very good, and my chicken marsala was the best I've ever had. The chives trio appetizer was top notch as well, with the cold smoked salmon being my favorite of the three items. We will definitely be back next time we come to Bailey's Harbor.

Wine options were varied and excellent. John our server was knowledgeable and helpful. Found a new favorite! Homemade bread and chives butter perfect beginning. The chicken marsala was very flavorful. Filet the best ever. Beautiful, artistic plating. Outstanding experience...again. Huge thanks to the entire Chives team!

My husband and I were in town celebrating our anniversary and decided to have dinner at chives. They gave us a card signed by everyone, which was so sweet and of course we kept the card. The restaurant itself was beautiful, the food was amazing, and the staff was super kind. It was such a lovely experience dining there.

We have always enjoyed Chives-last evening we felt something was off. The food took 2 hours and limited service or communication from our server-the food arrived cold which needed to be sent back-disappointing experience hoping this was an isolated night

We go to Chives often when in Door and it's always a pleasant experience! Our most recent visit did not disappoint. Just try anything and everything, including cocktails! It's cozy inside this time of year-try to get a bay window seat. Other seating options in the summer, but same dedication to taste and artful presentation!
Best desert in a long time Profiteroles. White fish and the desert profiterole. Excellent customized attention by the server of Cjives as well!
