Great place, especially if you are looking for something that isn't touristy. Food was delicious. Service was great. Drinks were great too. I got a cherry margarita and it was awesome .We will definitely be back.

We were seated right away, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The on-tap beer list was great. We ordered clam strips and got them almost immediately. Delicious even from a New Englander's perspective. The waitress asked if we wanted to place our dinner order right away since the kitchen is very fast, and we said yes.
Despite reading reviews from people complaining about the grouper, we decided to try it anyway. It’s Wisconsin. People here know how to do fish, so we figured maybe those reviewers were just picky out-of-towners. Our all-you-can-eat grouper came out extremely fast as promised, and that’s where the experience dropped significantly.
Whether the fryer was overcrowded, not given enough time to recover between batches, the oil wasn’t hot enough, or the fish simply wasn’t left in long enough, the result was the same: soggy, slightly undercooked grouper with breading that slid right off the fish. It’s a shame, because it’s a good-quality fish with a lot of potential. If asked, we would have been happy to wait a bit longer for it to be fully cooked and crispy. One minute would have made all the difference.
Unfortunately, the next order was the same, and we had hoped the first batch was just bad timing during the supper rush.
At least it wasn’t overly salty or fishy like fish fries we’ve had at other local bars. Still, at this price point, we expect the fundamentals of a basic Wisconsin fish fry to be on point. Next time we are asking for that extra minute and hot oil.

We took our friends & it was their first time. They loved the haystack onions, burgers, and baked beans. Fun atmosphere, great service, delicious food, and reasonably priced.We’ll definitely be back!

Rude staff that wouldn’t wait on us. No greeting, nothing other than telling us to get out of the way. Not worth it when there are so many options.

Were here as on the Door County Trolley Bloody Mary Tour. Very nice outside patio and grounds. Rental cabins in back. Right on Kangaroo Lake. We came back to eat had the Rubin was huge. Delicious. Spouse had portobello sandwiche. We shared asparagus soup and deep fried green beans. Great food.
