Michael was amazing and so knowledgeable! Charlie's Cab was my favorite but I loved each variety I tried.
Had a great experience with a special wine glass order, excellent customer service!
Have visited the tasting room twice now. Great service both times, and hands down the best wine in Door County.
We've been here 3 times now and get their wine sent to us every 4-6wks. Very good wine - best in Door County. Dan served us in the tasting room and he was great. Only complaint is it's not the best service outside. We've found it's a bit complicated where you can and can't sit even as members. I think they should just make the outdoor seating open to all without stipulations.
Fondue at the tapas bar was a joke! $39!!! The waitress said it came with generous portions and would feed 3 people easily If 10 tiny croutons of bread, 8 grapes and and 8 small chunks of apple is considered generous. Ordered peppers and salami. Same thing! Super small portions for the extra $5 each. The cheese fondue was good but also wouldn’t have been enough if you ordered a lot of extras to dip in it. We left hungry! Had to come home and make sandwich. Eat somewhere that gives you decent portions for your money.
Bit expensive but a great place to hang out and have a very good glass of wine.
While visiting friends in Wisconsin we had the pleasure of experiencing Stone Throw’s Winery. The atmosphere was stylishly luxurious. There are two separate rooms one for wine tasting and one for the “wine and dine” experience. I doubt you could go wrong with either but we chose the wine and dine. It is an adorable bar area with several tables. There is a gorgeous patio filled with greenery that we admired from the bar. Both the wine and food were incredible. The meatballs and bruschetta are a must try. The service team were personable and highly knowledgeable. 10/10 recommend if you are in the area.
Beautiful spot, good wine but unfortunately the service was very bad, bordering on rude
This place is a gem! I loved that you could have a tasting, or a glass with a small plate to enjoy. Then there are the wines!!!! They really had my favorite type of “dry” where most wineries in the area don’t carry those. GREAT fun, great service, will definitely return when in the area.
If you like sweet wine stay away because your pallet cant handle this fantastic place! I do not like wine and I found multiple I enjoyed. Bill was great and he is surprisingly good at guessing occupations. Give a friendly hello and enjoy!

Top notch wine!
Went there for a tasting and couldn't get served. They just passed us by without saying anything. After 30 minutes standing at the bar we left. I would advise going elsewhere.
The topsy turvy reviews of this place are misleading. It's a beautiful winery in the middle of lovely Door County. It's a must-do and perfect way to spend an afternoon on vacation. Great wine, good people, gorgeous space.
Beautiful atmosphere very classy
This is a great winery that happens to be in Door County. However, it is NOT a ‘Door County winery’! Don’t come here if you’re hopping from winery to winery (you will be sorely disappointed when faced with real wine).
If you’ve never heard of vitis vinifera, this winery is NOT for you. It IS, however, for those who appreciate fine wines (as opposed to the alcoholic fruit beverages served at most Wisconsin wineries). Stone’s Throw appears to be one of only three Wisconsin wineries producing truly fine wines (along with Blind Horse Winery in Kohler and Von Stiehl Winery in Algoma).
Yes, the atmosphere is pretentious. It pairs well with their fine Zinfandel. I was so impressed, I joined their wine club. Cheers!
I will work on getting them to provide palate cleansing crackers and water with their tastings, but the lack thereof is a minor weakness.
