We're locals who love stopping into Morty's for dinner on weeknights. Typically we go between 5pm and 7pm when the bartender isn't too busy to wait tables. After 7pm orders have to be placed/picked up at the bar. The burgers are fantastic, especially the mushroom & swiss burger, and I often get their coleslaw as a substitute for potato chips. It's light, flavorful and not too heavy on the mayonnaise. Their chili and soups are always delicious. The bar stocks our local and excellent brand of spirits distilled right here in nearby Red Cliff, and bartender Casey makes a great gin & tonic!
Stopped in for a drink before dinner. We didn't eat but a few of the people around us had food and it looked good. Cool spot, cheap drinks, and nice setup of darts and billiards. Even had our daughter throwing some money at the electric slots.

Service and atmosphere were fine. Good beer selection. The white wine was barely drinkable - low quality. Had the whitefish, tots and coleslaw combo. Coating was bland and the fish bland-rubbery.

I've enjoyed every visit here this summer! The chili is amazing along with the specials I've tried and the fish straight from the lake.
Great food, great bar, Princess Anna is great and so are her employees. You don't have to wonder if they're open.... they are!

We were there on a Thursday night during football season. It was a decent play to watch the football game. A little bit loud but expected for a bar. The appetizers were decent. The food itself was just OK. Clearly frozen fish right out of the freezer into the fryer. It was quite fishy.Decent selection of some regional beers on tap. It was after Labor Day at 8 PM so your options in Bayfield are very limited. The staff was super helpful and friendly, however. I would come back, I would just skip the fish sandwich.

Read entire comment, please. The first time in Bayfield, this place had a meal special, but was out of said food when we ordered it. The second time in Bayfield, we ordered fish... and they were out of fish. That was the disappointment. Now the silver lining. The "backup" meals we ordered each time were absolutely fantastic. Waiters were courteous and friendly, and all was well, otherwise. Worth the stop.
