waited 30 min for a to go order that I was told would take 10 min. sat at the bar and was not offered anything while I waited. I ended up asking for water after 20 min. food came out and it was incorrect - I ordered a side salad, not fries. salad is brought out, but had to ask for dressing. entire to go order wasn't bagged, so I just had to carry the loose containers to my car.
While up in this neck of the woods I was hoping to find a nice place for whitefish. I succeeded! This was a very cozy spot, with excellent service and a great fish fry!
My family has a wonderful experience here. The chef and service were very friendly, the food was delicious with gracious portion, and the ambiance was really nice. They also have helped PAWS for animal rescue donation 🐾
We loved the curry rice, grilled whitefish & vegetables, and trout sandwich!

Conditions Apply: Notification: Employers must notify employees in advance about the tip pool requirements. Reasonable Contribution: Employees cannot be required to contribute an unreasonable amount to the pool. Minimum Wage Protection: Employees must still receive at least the full minimum wage ($7.25 per hour in Wisconsin), even after participating in a tip pool. Eligibility: If the employer claims a tip credit: Only employees who "customarily and regularly receive tips" can participate in the tip pool (e.g., servers, bartenders). If the employer does NOT claim a tip credit: Back-of-house employees (like cooks and dishwashers) can also participate in the tip pool. No Manager/Supervisor Participation: Managers and supervisors are generally prohibited from keeping employees' tips, including through tip pools, regardless of whether the employer takes a tip credit. Holding Credit Card Tips: General Rule: Tips belong to the employee, not the employer. Credit Card Fee Deduction: When tips are charged on a credit card, Wisconsin law allows employers to deduct a proportionate amount to cover credit card processing fees. However, this deduction cannot reduce the employee's wages below the required minimum wage. Prompt Payment: Under federal law, credit card tips must be paid to the employee no later than the next regular payday, regardless of when the employer is reimbursed by the credit card company. Important Notes: Federal vs. State Law: If state law differs from federal law, employers must adhere to the standard that provides greater protection to employees. Documentation: Employers are required to maintain accurate records of tips, including tip pool arrangements and tip distribution. Violations: Employers who violate Wisconsin's tip laws may face civil fines, criminal penalties, and be required to pay back withheld tips.

The burger was delicious. Tomatoes could have been fresher but it's the Northwoods so I get it. Could hear the kitchen music a little too well. Not that the music was bad just not as pleasing have two music's going. Let the kitchen DJ. Overall though great place, great food, and great staff. Fries are perfect as well.

I highly recommend The Fat Radish. The food my wife and I ordered was excellent, and heavily wanted to go back the following day as we were only visiting the area for the weekend. Wife's flat iron was cooked to a nice medium rare and the smashed/crushed Potatoes were fantastic. The chicken curry, was some of the best I've had in the Northland, both soups, a spicy potatoes sausage and a spicy squash left good heat and were delicious. Waitress was polite, jovial and answered our questions and even recommended gluten free options. If you are GF I tolerant? Go. Here. Generally don't second guess trying the Fat Radish. I wish we had tried it yeeeeears ago! My only complaint would be we aren't closer to try their other dishes without the 2 hour drive. It is slow food, it is good food; respect the time and enjoy the food it produces.
Dietary restrictions: Good selection of Gluten-Free options!

The freshest food I had outside of my own home. I had the white fish black market curry.

Made a reservation several weeks ago to try this place with family from Seattle. Arrived at agreed time only to find the restaurant closed. No one called to cancel our reservation. We hung around in Bayfield longer than we wanted to make this ‘only time available’ later reservation. I emailed and left voicemail for the restaurant to respond to me 6 days ago with no response. I am super disappointed.

I was impressed with the service. Once our waitress learned we were vegan she was very accommodating. Food was incredible!
