We were only there for the breakfast, but really wished that we weren't too sleepy to have spent some time in the bar the night before. Such a nice looking, inviting, and clean space. If you stay at this place, save some time to visit the orange moose!

A Phoenix rising from the ashes of the pandemic. That’s how I’d describe the Orange Moose Bar & Grill. About a dozen years ago the wife and I decided that instead of buying a Northwoods cabin, we’d patronize a host that could deliver the experience with fidelity. A handful of times annually in the intervening years the Orange Moose and It’s associated hotel have served that function. We’ve seen many changes at the Moose over the years, many during the trying days of the pandemic. While the overall trend has been toward reduced hours and services, I’m delighted to see the flicker of new life in the Orange Moose. This weekend we attended their New Years Eve party, which was well-planned, and provided to the opportunity to stay off the road on amateur night as we were able simply to walk to our room. The menu at the bar included their usual staples of pizza and fryer food, which was augmented with the daily specials of pulled pork or chicken, which was great to see. Other recent efforts include free pool night, and a forthcoming go at bingo Sundays. All told, the Orange Moose Bar & Grill is on the path to returning to its storied past – transitioning from its pandemic role as an amenity exclusively for hotel guest - to its former broader command as an attraction that drew the community and passers by alike to its shining beacon.

Good place, aged but plenty of parking for trailers and ATVs, close by trail access. Bar was reasonable.

Me and a friend wanted to sit at the bar on a Friday night around 8pm and the bartender asked us to go elsewhere so she could go home soon. Bed was comfortable.

Cute place to stop for photos/getting out of the car to stretch legs. Park / pond area was a bit sad with the trash all over the ground, big parking lot, fun attraction!

We always love stopping here on the way to Minnesota to take a picture with the Big Orange Moose! Good place to stop for gas and food too! Taco John’s and Subway here.
Story of orange moose is interesting and real. History of Black River Falls.

Do not stay here! This place it terrible! There is mold everywhere. Mold in the rooms, hot tub, bathrooms etc... I got backFrom eating and it smelled like marijuana.Restaurant smells horrible. Lights don't work. Staff wasn't really helpful. Creepy basement filled with mold. Just don't stay here not worth the money
