It has been years since we have eaten here. I know it's a different owner since then. We had the Easter buffet and based on this experience, we will for sure be back! The food was excellent! We can't wait to come back and try items off the menu.

Let's start out by saying, the owner is already burnt out. Absolutely does not cater to the new. Focusing only on her regulars. I ordered 3 drinks and before I could even finish she already had walked away. Takes for ever for her to even care to wait on you. Her bartender should be the one who represents her. Business.The food was pretty good considering her kitchen is ran by high schoolers.She will last maybe 1 year...

We attended for a luncheon put on by an outside entity. The food was excellent a very good steak all around very well done serving a large group.We stopped at the bar to attempt to get a drink after the event. We sat for over 5 minutes watching as the bartender or it appeared to be the bartender stood looking at us and talking to someone else that was not even getting service and we never got even a high or I'll be with you in a minute. We never did get our drink and ended up walking out one of the poor services I've ever seen.Parking: Very large lot you'd have no issue regardless of the size of attendance

I have been here several times. Normally the food is pretty good. Today I ordered the cheese curds as usual with my kids. I took a bite and it was cold in the center. Not good! I immediately wanted the kids to stop eating them but apparently there were a couple that were ok as my teenagers said, “No, they are good!” But eventually they fell out too as they would take a bite into the cold ones and want no more of the cheese curds. My disappointment comes from the charging me half of the entree even though we clearly didn’t eat half. But because we did eat some of them we were charged. I think each of us had one good one and half of one bad one and I paid half the entree. To me that says you actually questioned me. So in that case I need to write a review. She knew what the issue was too when she came to the table. I would say I was disappointed with The Back 40 today. Not sure I will be visiting them again for awhile.

Probably my fault going there on a Saturday morning- place is open at 11. It’s 12:30 and they are still doing opening tasks. Took 35 minutes to get a burger. Food was good, but need more staff. Would have been cool to get a pickle with a burger meal. Oh- lady asked pink or no on my burger. I said pink. Got well done.

Only problem was it took 2 hrs to get our food. We did have a really big table but they were serving tables that came in an hour after us and the Owner/manager never warned of the delay until we questioned the delay. Yes we did make a reservation. The food was good so we will be back. Hopefully they are able to work threw the kinks.

I have a great time every time I come here. I love the freakin' cheese curds more than I can explain lol. The prime rib is also SO good.. and I can't remember the name of the drink but it's blue.. Pond Water or Island something? Whatever it's called. DELICIOUS.
I waited for about fifteen minutes to be seated, over an hour and a half for the food to come, food tasted okay, and our server was at our tables maybe a total of four or five times during the two hours. Not thrilled at all.

The food is good but isn't worth being treated this way by the bartender. (Nelly) We showed up at 7:45, the bartender walked by us three times and came to us at about 7:50 to ask rudely if we were ready to order. We asked for beers and menus... got beers from her and I found a menu laying to the right of me in a puddle of water so we took a look. Waited for her to come back and it never happened in 20 minutes so we left. We will not be back. This was our most recent favorite spot for food on a Wednesday but it's not worth it anymore.

The absolute worst fish I've ever had. 20 dollar walleye dinner was terrible. Over cooked, full of bones and tasted like northern slime. I got less than 1/2 way through couldn't eat
