I've only lived in Boscobel a couple years, but this place rocks. I very highly recommend the frying pan-sized omelets, mounds of hashbrowns that conveniently don't count for carbs, and a salad bar that nobody working there will bat an eye at if you squish 19,000 calories worth of cheese, croutons, and dressing into the container when you're thinking, yeah, a salad sounds healthy. A classic and outstanding American diner experience.
My hash browns were hardly cooked, there was no Brown, in the hash browns, the eggs for The Omelette was probably poured out of a jug, very airy,

My dad ordered a coffee and didn't get a refill until he got his food he ordered. My parents ordered chicken wings and fries. I ordered a BLT and my daughter a cheeseburger and fries. All were very good. No other complaints other than the coffee

I had the most perfect and delicious blueberry pancake this morning. It was wonderful.
Best biscuits and gravy I've ever had. Nothing else I've had comes close. People I know that travel across the US agree. Service is always good.

We were passing through and decided to have lunch at Boscobel. We didn’t know where to go but this was the closest to where we parked at.
Ty ordered a hot beef plate and I had broasted chicken. We didn’t expect the food to be THAT good ?.
This place reminded us of Prairie Kitchen which is THE go to place where we come from because of good home cooked food and no nonsense people working there.
People have to know where to eat at when they go to Boscobel.
Keep it up!
Driving thru town on our way north and looking for a local place. Food was good (sandwich and fries). Had to laugh because after dealing with the young waitress, the owner wrote on the dry board 'training staff.. be patient.' Admittedly, she was very green. Couldn't answer our simple questions about the menu...and we smiled because she reminded us of our young niece. She will get there, and we were happy to have her. A 60s retro look, but could use some love.
