This is just your typical Wisconsin Bar with a dining room. Everything seems fine. The choice of menu options is small but ok. The price is what you expect if your from Wisconsin but dirt cheap if your from Chicago. My complaint is that I woke up in the middle of the night with heartburn....and that rarely if ever happens to me. I suspect it was from the deep frying.

The staff, the chefs, and the management were all amazing. We showed up with about 30 Mustang's and well over 50 people having dinner. This would easily overwhelm most places, but they were right on. Food was amazing and came out quickly, drinks were good, so kudos to the bartender. Our waitresses were awesome, and definitely earned their money this night. They didn't stop, always attended to our needs and didn't miss a thing. I've never seen a place work as flawlessly as this. My hats off to all the employees! Great job everyone!!

We stopped in because we were visiting for the weekend. We came in a few minutes before 9pm. Our family came in for a drink since Gooch’s was closed. We were a group of 6 (age 21-55) and we had my 11 year old brother in law with. The boys went back by the pool table in a completely separate area of the bar. He was with his 22 and 26 year old brothers and his mom and dad. My mother in law went up to the bar to order. The bartender walked by her multiple times and she waited 30 minutes to order drinks. The bartender served multiple other groups that walked in well after us before she came over by her. She was very dismissive and immediately made a comment about how she brought a child into the bar. We explained we were just stopping in for one drink and the boys wanted to play pool. She told us we had 30 minutes and then we needed to leave. That it was inappropriate for him to be in there. It wasn’t busy at all, and he never walked over by the bar area. He minded his buisness playing pool with his big brothers. We were excited to try a new place but will not be back. The attitude from the bartender was disheartening and the way she shamed my mother in law in front of other customers was disgusting. I understand that in the state of WI although it is legal be under 21 in the bar after 9 with a guardian or parent of age- it is the owners discrepancy. We were simply there to enjoy a game of pool and a drink and a drink before heading home. We won $750 gambling and had more people meeting us. We took our money and business over to Linx Lake where Bev treated us respectfully and enjoyed our company. A simple polite explanation would have gone a long way instead of the shame and judgmental tone. We will not be back.

Excellent pub food menu. Some in our large group had pizza which was great. Very crispy crust, good toppings. Many had walleye sandwiches which was also great. Attentive service and they allowed our large group to have separate checks for each family which was so much easier than trying to figure out how much each family owed with tax and tip on one bill. We'll definitely be back the next time we're vacationing in Boulder junction area.

Service was great and a pleasure to be around, I came in on a wensday coming for there French dip that is really good, but I didn't know they had special events on wensdays. They cut their menu in half which was super disappointing.I got the pizza which wasn't bad but wasnt anything special, made of grease by the way.
The crawfish soup was amazing. The shrimp basket did not disappoint. Well cooked but not greasy. Same with the onion rings. Homemade bread pudding for dessert...Just wow. We'll done highly recommend.

Came up this week to open up our cabin and we were so thankful boulder beer bar was open, as all other restaurants in town were closed. Came in twice over 2 days, one night we dined in and had the walleye sandwich and shrimp basket dinner, both were delicious!!! Then yesterday we popped in and took a pizza to go....now as chicago residents we take pizza pretty seriously, we were blown away by how awesome the pizza was! We'll be back in June, thanks for all the great food this trip!
