My parents live in West Bend and had been gushing about this place. They were excited to take us here last night for dinner. When we arrived, the place was packed, even on a dark, rainy Tuesday night. We were quoted 30 minutes before we could be seated. It took around that long, but we just chatted and had some drinks while waiting. Once seated, our waitress was very attentive, and we were able to place our orders right away. Two of us in the group got the Beef Tip Special, one of us got the chicken parm sandwich and one of us got the Buckthorn Burger. As a side, the chili was pretty good, with huge chunks of meat. She asked if we wanted cheese and onions on it, and we said yes, but they didn't bring it out that way. Oh well! The beef tip special was the winner of the evening, by far. For a bar, in the middle of nowhere however, the place had some good food. Would I go out of my way to eat here again...probably not, but if my parents would like to choose to come here again, I would go with them if asked. I think trying this place in the summer would be fun, with all the outdoor seating.

It took two hours to get burgers for two people. While we understand it's a popular special, there were many open tables for two people. Very slow service. Will not be going back any time soon.

Owner was very accommodating and pleasant! Atmosphere was comfortable. Pizza was excellent!! Is cash only, no cards!! But highly recommend!!

Stopped there today for lunch. The place is spotless and the food is incredible. I recommend this place to anybody. The service was excellent. Our food was served quickly and was hot.

Very nice patios, including a giant stone fireplace with a built in waterfall. Loved the sandwiches, but the potatoes were the hit (in my opinion). As always, don't bother with bad comments from reviewers with one to two reviews.
Service was pretty slow for a Saturday 4:30p meal. Open tables and server seemed uninterested. Appetizer Platter ordered when we ordered drinks- came 3 minutes before our meal. Half the plate was fried too long, burnt. Burgers for meal were super greasy, buns were cold and fries were soggy and tasted like old grease. Reorder of drinks took 10+ minutes, no checkback from server on meal. Have been here prior to this visit and was okay then- but this visit has us rethinking a return visit. No manager to be found and the bus staff needs a uniform shirt not a low cut tank top and workout jeggings! Other places around we will visit next time.

I’m from out of town. San Antonio, TX. We stopped here and I think I had the best hamburger I have ever tasted. WI you really do food right! Great place. Will return on my next visit.

I rarely eat a burger so I was hoping for it to be as described—medium. It was well done so, meh. However, the bun was delicious. Grilled with some garlic salt, and had it encased a medium burger, I would have got what I was hoping for. Staff was friendly and attentive as she could be given it was busy.

Stopped at Jugs on our search for the best burger around and were not disappointed. Monday is BOGO on All burgers ... GREAT Deal. We were greeted and seated right away , server arrived quick for drink order , then took our order , food arrived in a timely manner and was Excellent. I would put their Burger in our top 3 ... Maybe 2. Big burger , plenty of flavor , great selection to choose from .... Lots of waffle fries. Well worth our trip .... Check it out.
