I loved the taste of my filet. I only buy and grill filet at home. Sometimes I buy a whole tenderloin and trim it myself.
I never would have put the particular piece of meat I received on the grill, or I'd get a new pair of glasses. There was way too much tendon in my steak for a restaurant of the quality of Pastiche Bistro, to serve it to a customer!!!
I can only assume the person that put my filet on the grill, doesn't know tenderloin. Tendon is different from fat, and it is easy to see on a filet before grilling. Tendon shows on the edges of any or every cut edge.
I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE QUALITY OF MY FILET, not the taste!!!
We also had 1 steak, not cooked properly, and it went back to the kitchen and was replaced. The second steak was cooked correctly and I'm told it was excellent.
7 people, with alcohol, wine, and drinks, appetizers, salads, main courses, and 4 desserts. I didn't see the bill, so I'm only guessing, but minimum of $450. Certainly substantial without question.
Excellent service and food! ordered the filet steak Chef Mike did an amazing job preparing the food exactly have a ordered it will return again....hidden gem!!

Wow. We hadn’t been to Pastiche since BayView. Not sure what we were waiting for. Everything was as good as we remembered. We hadn’t our 18 year old son with us and it was fun to watch him try (and love) new things.
We started out with fois gras and a lyonnaise salad. Both were amazing. The cherries with the fois gras perfectly sweet:tart.
Entrees included filet Sophie, a ribeye special and a perfect rare tuna for my son. Steaks were delicious. Saved room for crème bruleee and pot au crème. Again…perfect.
We love the “new” location and are planning a trip back for patio season.
I was priveledged to work with Mike for a couple special events as a culinary apprentice at NHCC. Many years later-priveledged to be able to enjoy his amazing gift.
This place is for sure a gem. The food was very, very good - recommend the steak frites. The wine selection is robust with different varieties - recommend the Bourdeaux. Also, their desserts are world class. The service was excellent - our waitress was insightful and thoughtful. If you want a homey-feeling, local restaurant with great food and ambiance...this is the place!
A Saturday night out with friends. Food was delicious and each item was cooked to perfection. Our guests were very impressed. Service was excellent. Just a wonderful evening.

Absolutely wonderful! My husband and I were there Friday evening and will be back soon. Excellent food, beautiful ambiance, non-intrusive, yet attentive service ... everything was perfect.

Omg everything was just fantastic. This little restaurant is a hidden gem not enough people know of. Thumbs up to the Chef and the staff. Some of the best service and food I've had in a long while. Thank you, from my taste buds. Paul our waiter was the best, he introduced us to the Chef and he was great also. I have to say they aim to please. Thank you all.

About a hour drive for Great food, great service at a fair price, love to see the chef come out to ask you a question when he needs to. The place is a must visit.

We had a large party of eleven for a birthday event. We chose this venue because their entree selection was varied. They did not disappoint. We had almost every selection in our group and everyone agreed theirs was done perfectly and great tasting. We really enjoyed the appetizers and the beet salads topped with fried goat cheese. Chef owner Mike Engel and our server did a great job. Angela the pastry chef made a perfect cake for us.
