I went up there for a work trip, and out of the 9 nights I was there I ate here. The food hits the spot, and the people there are so sweet. The older lady (owner) remembered me and made me feel so welcome. I had their Caesar chicken wrap, broasted chicken, and their brisket. The wrap was my favorite, but I chowed down literally everything they had. Their double layer cake is LIT. Their portions are quite large so be prepared for that but it's all worth it.

My husband had the hot roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes & green beans. I had bacon, egg, toast and strawberry rhubarb pie ala mode. It was delicious. The pie was homemade and the best I’ve had since my mom’s! The service was great. Parking lot is large - nice when hauling a camper ❤️

Hidden Gem: Twin Gables Café Lounge

Twin Gables Café Lounge may be a small place, but it delivers big when it comes to flavor and hospitality! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with a cozy, laid-back atmosphere that feels just like home. It's the kind of local spot where you know you're in for a satisfying meal.

On my first visit, I tried their hamburger, and it was fantastic! The patty was cooked to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and seasoned just right. The bun was fresh, and all the toppings complemented the burger perfectly. You can tell they put care into crafting something simple yet delicious.

The second time, I went for the hoagie, and once again, Twin Gables didn’t disappoint. It was generously filled, packed with flavor, and each bite was a perfect balance of textures and tastes. Whether you're there for a quick bite or to relax and enjoy, the food never fails to impress.

The service is equally great—friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It’s clear that this café is dedicated to making sure everyone feels at home, with prompt service and a welcoming attitude.

If you're in the mood for a casual, delicious meal, Twin Gables Café Lounge is the place to go. Whether you’re craving a burger, a hoagie, or anything in between, this little spot is sure to leave you satisfied. Highly recommend!

Great food! First time I've had Gravy and not too salty! Can always add more salt if not enough for someone that likes more salt. Great desserts also. Blueberry pie was perfect. Love the books about the area. Will stop again on next trip by. Great cook!

Felt like a local walking into the place for breakfast, everybody was so welcoming. I had the 2 egg breakfast with toast and hashbrowns and it was absolutely delicious. My table mates had very generous portions of omelets and loaded hashbrowns. Highly recommend!

If you want homemade, amazing food made with heart, you have to stop. Even if just for the baked goods that are amazing (especially that lemon filled white cupcake).
You will not be disappointed

We eat here quite regularly. The food is always good. Sometimes, the staff can be a bit overwhelmed, but they power through and do what they can to get things right. It's a nice little restaurant for breakfast to dinner, with a variety of freshly made pies.

Stopped in for a late lunch with my son when traveling through town.

He ordered a hamburger basket. Their homemade coleslaw was creamy and delicious.

I got the special for the day. A ham sandwich on a croissant with soup. I chose the white chicken chili. The sandwich, tasty and huge. & The chili was unbelievably good.

Their strawberry malt was very satisfying and hit the spot.

We had planned on ordering some of their homemade pie but were too stuffed.

The staff were very polite and attentive.

We'll definitely be back.

They have excellent home made pies that we always try to stop for when travelling through the area. Flavors included raspberry rhubarb, blueberry, strawberry rhubarb, blueberry rhubarb and many other that were non-fruit, and some cakes on our most recent trip. We also enjoyed breakfast there many times. Their veggie omelette and pancakes are good. The oatmeal was very large in portion size but a bit too dry for our taste.
