Arrived about 5 pm last night for fish fry. Place was packed, but got a table right away. Waitress seemed to have an attitude immediately. I ordered a Sprite, got Sprite Zero Sugar. I asked for regular sprite was told they didn’t have it so asked for 7up. Seemed like a major inconvenience for the waitress, to bring me the correct drink. We ordered about 10 minutes later an appetizer and our fish/ shrimp dinners. Took about 15 minutes before she brought out bread and coleslaw. Another 15 minutes passed and we got our onion rings. So by now we have been there about 45 minutes. Table that sat down same time as us, already had their food. Another 30 minutes went by, waitress never came by. Asked another waitress to check on our order. Was told the place is busy, kitchen is backed up, to which I replied this table next to us is now done eating, and we sat at same time. Another 5 minutes goes by, our waitress now comes to “apologize” for the delay. Another few minutes go by, table next to us now has food , and waitress that I asked for help stopped and said, yeah something’s wrong they have their food already, to which I replied, yeah we noticed the problem. After sitting for an 1.5 hours, we finally got our food. And now with an extra order of onion rings that she brought a box for us to take home. Had to ask for tartar sauce for the fish, as that wasn’t brought out. Again delays in getting our bill and paid, left there a little after 7 pm. So 2 hours to get a fish fry is not my idea of a nice dinner out. Won’t be back. Ps. Food was decent but the aggravation of being ignored and treated rudely ruined the evening.

First time here tonight with my boyfriend. We were a little unsure when we walked in. Looks like they are doing some renovation. We were there early. (Thank God!) It filled up fast! Now we know why! Their walleye and perch were excellent! Huge portions and some surprise hush puppies we were not expecting...After covid, we decided we were going to go to different establishments and try out Friday night fish fry around our area. So far we have been to 12. This is one of the ones we will definitely be going back to!!
Nice place food was good had the Italian beef was a little spicy for my taste . Wife had baked fish said it was good .

I'm not sure why there are people complaining about this place? (I read a good amount of reviews) we have been driving past Countryside for 3 years and finally decided to stop in for prime rib. PHENOMENAL!!! Italian beef was really great too, great taste to it. You get a lot of food and reasonably priced (I feel anyway). Well worth any wait!! Rachel did a great job too, as busy as it was she rocked it behind the bar! Everyone in the bar was cheerful, really great atmosphere. Can't wait to come back and try something else!
