Lena's Northern Pines Resort

The dining area is still appealing, even when the food was anything but. We had the Saturday prime rib & bbq buffet specials - 5 of 5 people were disappointed in the quality and flavor. The pork ribs were undercooked, beef ribs overcooked and overall, difficult to consume. While appearing to have potential, the prime rib should have measured up, but alas the compensation came as intensely salty au jus. Was anticipating this meal, but greatly discouraged.

We ate here tonight for the first time. We didn't have reservations but went there early enough that they got us right in. Service was great. We had the Friday Fish Buffet and Salad Bar. Plenty of awesome food!! All the woman received a carnation from the owner for Valentine's Day, nice surprise. Will definitely go back. We're going to try the Saturday BBQ buffet next! 😋

My girlfriend and I were first-time visitors on Saturday, Feb 1, and had a late-afternoon lunch. We ordered a sampler appetizer of fried cheese curds, onion rings, and mushrooms, which was great, but the 6-piece chicken tenders were even better! They were HUGE, fresh chicken breast, and hand-battered....delicious!

But wait....it gets even better! We had just missed the start of their Saturday meat buffet, which looked OUTSTANDING and I'm definitely going back again to try that, as I had never seen anything quite like it. Various smoked meats and delicious-looking sides.

Furthermore, they had an excellent salad bar with absolutely loaded potato and sausage soup, and a container with fresh mashed potatoes.

The dining room, bar, and entire grounds were very clean and organized, and it's obvious the owners take a lot of pride in it...so nice to see!

I'd highly recommend Lena's!

😀Lena's Northern Pines Resort was just wonderful! We came up to go snowmobiling with a group of about 35 people. We filled her cabins! The cabins were perfect. They were clean and cozy! Lena went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and made sure we had a great time. The food and drinks were tasty and affordable! Will definitely be putting Norther Pine Resorts on our "come back to" list! Thanks Lena for a great weekend!!

Food is excellent! Perch fish fry is the best. The salad bar and their homemade soup is a mean in itself! Absolutely a favorite place and we highly recommend it! Service is also great!

Lenas resort is a must stay we ended up just taking a random night to go up north for my wifes birthday and the cabin was perfect also we went to the restaurant to eat the cheese curds and pizza were amazing we ended up talking to Lena at the restaurant and we have nothing but good things to say we will be back

Great food, Amazing employees, would definitely recommend. Way better then previous owner and will stop in soon to try what they offer in-house. Laurie ( the gal I dealt with was amazing and perfect). I highly recommend Laurie and the food.

Went there not long after reopening under the new owner on a Saturday night, prime rib was delicious. Went tonight and the prime rib was just ok, potato pancakes awful, baked potato was dried out and hard. Also, the owner went around the dining room spoke with each table that was occupied and then totally ignored us. So will we return, probably not and I don’t recommend it. The waitress was very nice.

We stopped for dinner at my friend's suggestion, she was familiar with the owner. I had the Friday night buffet which was excellent. Great salad bar, great service. The buffet had everything and then some - broiled and fried cod, calamari, cajun catfish, hush puppies, and more that I didn't have a big enough stomach for. Will definitely be back!
