Where to start… This was a place on my “list” to hit - top “8” burger in WI from some rating I came across.
We took a hour detour on our way home to give this place a try. It was worth the extra time!
We sat at the bar to get the “feel” and it did not disappoint. The bartender was more than happy to provide the history, menu, and chatter to make us feel welcome - so did the secondary bartender - A+ in the “make you feel welcome area”!
Food - we had the Whitetail and the Tennessee burger’s with the chips, 5/5 from both of us. Cooked exactly as asked and delicious.
Top “8”in WI? Yes, in my opinion! It’s November and can’t wait to stop by again when the back patio opens

Hands down one of the best burgers I've had. I had the B.O.M. and it was devine! Ordered to go a plain burger with just lettuce and tomato and my mom said that was the best burger she's had even with it being so simple. Service is always impeccable as well as cleanliness. Keep kicking ass!!!
Heard about this place via a patron at the bar I work at. I must say, First off , GREAT NAME! I live in Madison and my boyfriend and I enjoy going on adventures to burger joints in Wisconsin when we have days off together. I recently took him here for his birthday. I really hope we don't have to wait for another birthday to go back. I really loved my burger.
The drive wasn't too bad clocking in around 40 minutes. Parking was available. It was HOPPIN' ! we arrived at the tail end of the lunch rush .
Honestly the only criticism I have is that I'm not a huge fan of country music and that's the music they had on. It's not going to stop me from going back .

Our party of two got here at 5:15 on a Friday night. Many tables were open when we arrived. We witnessed countless people arrive and seated with 15-20 minutes of arrival. After waiting an hour to be seated, I nicely asked how much longer and was met with an attitude. They explained they were waiting for a table for two to open! Well, it did, next to the atm, at a cash only restaurant, which was used endlessly with beeping in my ear with every button pushed. The table we were seated at was barely big enough for one. Service was horrible. Not a single, “how is or was everything.” Never again. Left two hours later at 7:20. The food was fantastic I’ll give them that.
