Stopped in on a Wednesday from out of town, for their AYCE chicken.. Very busy! Bartenders were friendly, and when we asked how "this works", were told to go to the podium to ask for a seat. Once we got there, surprisingly, the hostess asked us for our order (wait a second, we haven't even looked at the menu yet! 🤣).. Luckily we knew we wanted chicken, so that was easy. Waited almost an hour for our table for 2 (it's a small dining room, so I totally understand), and once it was ready, our food was there waiting for us (nice!). The chicken was good- hot and crispy, though it could use a couple more "herbs and spices".. I also wish they had offered mashed potatoes as a side.. Who doesn't like mashed potatoes with chicken? Refills on chicken arrived quickly, and our server allowed me to give her my choices on the refill. I was full after 6 pieces..Darn. Other than that, our bill was not high, our old fashioneds were affordable and tasty, and every worker we talked to was friendly and helpful. 👍👍

we went there tonight for valentine's day and were greeted to our table with brown vinegar coleslaw, a bun that looked like it was gnawed on and cold butter. yummy!!! food came out and we ordered the accessories chicken and fish. hmmmm I got a dried out chicken wing, chicken leg and thigh. my fish was extremely mushy and don't get me started on the code violation tartar sauce bottles on the table. it needs to be sanitary and refrigeratored. plus the drinks are extremely overpriced. that is coming from customers next to me

My dad and I had the prime rib today. We both said it was the best we have ever had. Great value for the amount of food. Workers were very friendly and the atmosphere was nice too. We will be back!!!

Checked in, sat at the bar until our food was ready. Enjoyed the friendly people, and the food was delicious. Smelt were prepared like they were in the 60s and 70s. The broasted chicken was very good. I would recommend this place, but I don't want it so busy that I can't get a table.

My only complaint is we were there last Sunday had a reservation for seven people, and it took forever for us to get our food. Food was awesome but service was not good.

The bar has a view of the lake (pond) looks more like stagnant water green alge duck weed not a great view.
Went on a Friday fish fry food was ok the fish type was not identified as cod, haddoc or something else it was "fishy" tasting sounds strange but cod or haddock usually is not ocean fishy tasting usually more like fresh water fish. Edible but not as good as most Wisconsin fish frys most will probably be disappointed. The best part of the fish fry was the excellent French fries hot crisp outside just right inside.
The bartender was friendly you couldn't ask for a better drink a little pricey but actually fair considering the full pour glass received.
The table service is okay but hardly what most are used to. You see the hostess put in your order and wait at the bar (some old timey supper club style) when the food is ready they seat you in a large open dinning room with table's that made me think of a cafe/cafeteria put your food out and move on to the next table very assembley line like. The server does stop by occasionally to see if you want anything. All in all it's ok kind of an impersonal kind of service with servers appearing to be pretty rushed and turning table's in a rushed ASAP way with customers coming and going in a constant circle that's actually subtlety pushing you to do the same.
We prefer a more fine dinning unrushed experience. Between the food quality, taste and dinning room experience we won't go back. Now having said that if you don't mind faster Cafe style dinning okay food at a good (cheap) price it's not too bad.

Wheelchair accessibility: Didn't see any ramps the entrance is at the bottom of a little hill and there's multiple steps up from the outside door to the second floor door to the bar/dinning room.

If you are unable to walk up approximately 8 or so stairs, unfortunately, it won't be accessible for you. We got here right at 4 pm and were the first ones seated. It fills up quickly, but people don't seem to mind the wait for a table. This is a very quaint and lovely bar/restaurant. The AYCE options are served family style. We had the chicken and battered fish, which was so light and airy. It came with a delicious sweet and sour coleslaw, roll, and choice of potato for only $14.95 per person. We had two bloody Mary's and a tequila sunrise, an order of onion rings, a cup of soup, and dessert to go, and our total was $87 for three adults. The waitress and bartender were so friendly and made sure we were well taken care of.

Parking: There is parking on the side and back of the restaurant. They do fill up quickly so you may want to go early.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is no accessibility if you are unable to walk up approximately 8 or so stairs and have someone lift your wheelchair or walker to the top.

Excellent food, great service, and I'm sure if you're supper picky you could rate it less than a 5 but that's on you and not them.
