This is exactly the type of place you want to find when you are traveling. Great locals running an institution that's been around in some form for nearly (more than?) a hundred years. Enjoyed the coffee, breakfast, and the history of this great restaurant and coffee shop on the Great River Road.

My only “”complaint”” if you will, is I wish there were more vegan options but this place is amazing especially given the hours and location I will go there everyday while I work here.

Great coffee, atmosphere and helpful directions. Besides the coffee, quiche, cinnamon roll, and many customers who were welcoming to strangers and fun, Ron, the owner, was gracious, service minded, and sharing of his sense of humor. Just don't ask him for his quiche recipe. ;) 😉 If ever in the area again, this is a go to great place to stop.

What a surprising little gem!!! Ron (owner) told us “best coffee in Wisconsin” and he was not joking!!! We would drive from Madison to Cassville just for the coffee! The atmosphere and food were amazing also!

What a lovely place. The coffee is fantastic, the muffins were perfect. Staff is very friendly, the owners were there and very welcoming. Atmosphere is cozy and warm. There are things to keep the little ones occupied. We will be back!
So a group of friends and i were in town for the Christmas in cassville. We where admiring the old decorations on the wall when the dude at the counter proceeded to yell as loud as he can at us to leave it alone and not touch the decorations.
There was no sign saying please do not touch the things on the wall. If there was a sign up this would have never happend. I was really disappointed how staff handled the situation and how rude he was. I will not be coming back to this establishment.
