Looks like the food quality at Anvil has taken a big downward shift. I used to love the food here. But, after my latest experience, it will be very hard for me to ever go back there. I ordered a Chicken Artichoke sandwich and got served a Rubber Artichoke sandwich instead. The chicken in the sandwich was literally so rubbery that I could not even cut it with a knife.

Amazing food!! Stopped in for a quick dinner, and everyone in our group loved their food. I tried the Smithy sandwich with beet and carrot potato salad. Both were great. Someone also tried their special whoch was a pork belly ramen. It was perfect!! We will definitely be back.Parking: There is parking along the street as well as a lot behind the restaurantWheelchair accessibility: There is plenty of seating on the main level with no steps into the restaurant. Bathroom is also on tthe main level.

Service so bad they are in a league with the Buffalo Wild Wings of Appleton. The table next to us was just leaving when we sat down. The table beside us was cleared and reset. A new couple arrived at said table. The new couple ordered, received their food, ate, got their bill, and left before our waitress brought us our food. While waiting for our food, I ordered a beer. The beer itself was very good, but it arrived in a tiny glass that wasn't even close to being full.An all around disappointing experience.

Random day trip found us in Cedarburg, picked this place out of convenience - what a great find! The food was fantastic and the staff accommodating and friendly - thank you for a great experience - we are spreading the news among our network of friends.

Food was delicious. The plates however were too small and kept spinning around when we tried to cut our food, fries falling off the plate. Also silverware extremely cheap and not consistent with the quality of the restaurant.

Great find after a business meeting in town before heading to O'Hare. BLTC and a Sam Adams hit the spot. Felt like a great discovery hidden back from the street.

The food was very good, very pleasant service, and a beautiful restaurant. Lot of variety on the menu, and tasty. A tad expensive, but overall worth it.

My friends and I have an annual Christmas in Cedarburg lunch followed by shopping. The Anvil Pub is our usual first stop. The atmosphere is perfect and memories of the old village blacksmith shop come flooding back. This time I ordered a typical Reuben sandwich and a fantastic Christmassy cocktail with cranberry and rosemary. The sandwich was okay. I’ve had much better. They could definitely add more meat and sauerkraut. All in all the Anvil is a great choice, because I have had other dishes that were fantastic other times.

Food is good, but it is very expensive for the amount you get. The layout is not very handicap friendly.
