Monster Donuts in Cedarburg absolutely lives up to the hype. From the moment you walk in, the friendly, welcoming service sets the tone — staff are upbeat, patient, and genuinely happy to help, whether you’re a regular or it’s your first visit.
Now, the menu — this is where Monster really shines. The selection goes far beyond standard donuts, with creative flavors and loaded specialty donuts that feel more like desserts than pastries. Every donut we tried was fresh, soft, and perfectly balanced — sweet without being overwhelming.
The standout (and honestly, a must-try) is the Stranger Things “Download” Cookie Butter Donut. This thing is unreal. Rich cookie butter flavor, perfectly executed, and clearly made with care. It’s indulgent in the best way and absolutely worth the trip on its own. Alongside that, the variety of other specialty donuts means there’s something for everyone — classic lovers and adventurous flavor-chasers alike.

Popped into the Cedarburg location this morning strolling the main drag and picked up an old fashion style coffee cake doughnut. Ordered to go, got home to try a little bite and ended up needing more tastes after. Really impressed with the quality, one of the tastiest doughnuts I’ve had!

Came in right after opening on a Sunday, so we had the pick of the litter but was still a bit disappointed. Donuts were cold and looked as though they had been made day before—not fresh. Good flavor though. I enjoyed the original glazed, but felt it wasn’t worth the $35 for a dozen that, again, wasn’t prepared the day of. This is definitely a new-wave donut shop, not your mom and pop classic which I much prefer.

Yes, the donuts are always, always great, but, the breakfast sandwich is where this place really shines. So craveable, and every one I've tried has been amazing (THAT CHEESE THOUGH).
I love being able to sit down and eat a sandwich and a donut with my family, then head up to the little bonus play space in Cedarburg for my little one to run out her sugar rush. Every time we go, the staff is super friendly and accommodating. We go every weekend when we can!

Every time we go, it's an absolute dilemma choosing between one of the best donuts I've ever had in my life, or the absolute, bar none, best breakfast sandwich anywhere (this typically ends in one of each...)
It's true that phenomenal, handmade donuts are more expensive than the mass processed junk you'll get at a grocery store, or a national chain, but the higher price pays out exponentially in flavor and experience.
Super friendly staff, an adorable space, and a great playroom upstairs for the kids, makes this our favorite place to be on a Sunday morning.

Ordered a cream filled donut and when I got home and bit into it, realized the donut had not been filled with anything. Tried calling the store to let them know they were selling unfilled cream filled donuts and no one picks up the phone and the mailbox is full. Also had issues with the credit card scanner so it took 10 minutes to get in and out with a single, bad donut.
