What a cozy spot! I had no idea it was around. I’m a stickler on steaks and they did such a good job. Usually, I don’t leave the house for a steak lol. Also be sure to get the haystack on onions. addicting! Fantastic service as well.

So we came here for Valentines day getaway weekend and came across this steakhouse.... they had a 3.5hr wait ✋️ 😳 but it was soooooo worth it! We started the 3rd pg of the waiting list and im so happy we waited.
They had a nice waiting system going so once I put my name down the host gave me her business card said to call back in an hour to see how long the wait would be. So we went on our way did some shopping had a small snack from wine tasting....
We came back to the place when they said we have an hour wait and got a spot by the bar. She was very nice drinks were good...finally our time came up and boy oh boy were we ready to eat!
We ordered the string onions they were good and the sauce was amazing. The bread was delicious and the butter was on point! I order the sirloin steak and got a medium... I should have gotten a medium well but that didnt stop me from eating it with the special glazed secret garlic sauce that the own makes was it to die for. My husband got tenderloin medium he said it was cooked to perfection as medium.
So there you have it folks! It's a definite yes! I took pics of the updated menu. We ate the food took quick and forgot to take the picture.

My daughter and I had a wonderful evening here. After first being greeted and seated by Caroline, the owner, we were treated to a delightful dinner of bluegill with all the trimmings. All on a Wednesday evening. Really, Who else does fish on a Wednesday? :) My daughter was so impressed by this place that she has decided to entertain friends from Indiana here on their visit next month. The servers here were very attentive and just a joy to engage. A true Wisconsin Gem!!! Highly recommended!

We came here for my boyfriends birthday, he was really craving prime rib, but all the places we wanted to try were closed for private parties. A friend recommended The Farmstead, so we decided to give it a try.
The customer service was amazing. The restaurant itself is very dark, which affected me since I’m sensitive to low lighting, but my boyfriend actually liked the atmosphere.
I ordered the top sirloin steak with a 7-layer salad, mashed potatoes, and vegetables. I was given a Caesar salad instead, but I felt bad saying anything. The steak was good, but nothing special. The mashed potatoes, however, were really good.
My boyfriend ordered the special of the day something called the Blue Sky, I think which was a 22 oz ribeye including mash potatoes, vegetables and soup. He didn’t find it anything special either and regretted not getting the garlic glaze sauce.
Overall, it was a nice night, but I don’t think we’ll be back.

Went at 4:30 on a Wednesday. Short wait at the bar before being seated. Great food, service, and atmosphere . Having a fish fry on a Wednesday was a pleasant surprise. That, and the 12oz tenderloin w/ mushrooms were great.

My wife and I had our first experience at this restaurant, and it was fantastic. It’s not your typical fine dining establishment, but it creates a great atmosphere and vibe. The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. We’ll definitely be returning to this restaurant more often.

This is a wonderful little Homestead farmhouse that has been converted to a small restaurant and bar. My wife, our son and his girlfriend, and our daughter stopped by on a Saturday around 4:30 PM. We waited at the bar for a bit over a half hour. Lovely atmosphere, friendly servers and bartenders, and great food. There are zero reservations, just swing by and wait for a table. I ordered the special steak for the day, my wife ordered the Rosemary Chicken. I tried a bite of hers and the flavors were excellent! My steak was perfectly cooked. We will definitely be back again.
