Hilde always takes care of me and my annoying gluten free needs. Usually something available in the hot food section but if not she'll create a tasty lettuce wrap for me. Bbq ribs are my favorite.

We were so enchanted!! Hilde's had the perfect trifecta of excellent food, friendly service, and charming atmosphere! My husband had pork ribs and sauerkraut, and I had the broasted chicken. Excellent both, and the sides were superb!!! I would drive long distances to eat at Hilde's again. Her hard work has most definitely paid off !!

Love places like this in the old downtown areas. The rest of our party ordered off the daily hot food menu and really enjoyed their meal, but I had the artichoke pizza, and it was remarkable!! I highly recommend the pizza. I can't imagine that I would have loved anything as much. The pastries were also very good.

By far one of the best restaurants I've been too for friend chicken, and their scallop potatoes were fantastic as well, ill certainly be eating here alot

I was on our return back from Door County to Florida with two dogs and my handicapped daughter. I was suffering from severe sciatica and had just recently lost my husband after a long illness. I was not in a great mood. We stopped for lunch because of picnic tables next door so the dogs could join us. We ordered finger foods so there would not be a need for utensils. Hilde was an attentive listener to my complaining and personal issues, the little that I mentioned. She was so kind and went back in the store and returned with two calendar books and something else I can't remember off hand. Her gesture was so well received by us and even today I am using that calendar and my daughter uses hers. I can't remember the food but her kindness will never be forgotten. That is what Small Town America is all about.
Cute place and extremely friendly staff.Everything was very good, the chicken, Cole slaw, fresh fruit, Hawaiian grilled sandwich. Store area has a wide variety of items to purchase, i.e. salsas, pickles, cheeses, homemade noodles (many different flavors and shapes), seasoning mixes for many types of meals, including white chicken chili which I might buy next visit.I love that there is such a wide variety of bottled sodas and such. We had Door County Cherry and Jarritos Pineapple sodas.Definitely coming back.

Always love visiting Hilde's. Especially like their fried chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, & mac n cheese. Their tuna & egg salad on crescents are very good too, as are their pizza & desserts. I appreciate the large & unique variety of glass bottle sodas, & always find something new to try. Went to my 1st painting night here, & everyone was so helpful & accommodating. Especially loved my moonshine I purchased, Strawberry Dream (looks like you're drinking strawberry milk! Lol)
