You wont find any bad reviews on most sites because the owner deletes all that she can. You will wait over an hour to get a table, the service by management is horrible. We witnessed the owner degrade a waitress for asking her a question and we walked out and went to Mc Donalds. Do not waste your time or money, new ownership has ruined a staple for this city.

Used to be our favorite place to eat the past 30+ years. Last night the potatoes and the onion rings were burnt and not edible. Prime rib and shrimp were good though. Probably will not go back

The service was very good. We had the fish, which was average. The hashbrowns were excellent, huge portion. The mushroom appetizer was cold, so they did not charge us for that. No relish tray, only crackers and cheese. Brandy Alexander was aweful, not made correctly at all. All ice cream in a glass, I didn't taste or see any brandy or cream de caco at all. Probably won't return.

Unfortunately I could not rate the food. The new ownership has not got it going yet. There are several tables that ended up leaving after waiting 2 hours and not getting any service. I had made a reservation in advance but still had to wait a half an hour before I finally gave up.Unfortunately, a local icon for fish fry is gone. Hopefully the new ownership will be able to figure it out soon before it goes away totally. The bartender, was super friendly a very good. She had been with the restaurant for a long time and you could see the disappointment in her eyes as well as ours. I would not recommend.

First time to Connell’s since new owners took over. We were incredibly disappointed. The salad bar was very weak. Instead of warm bread on the table we got cracker sticks. Our food arrived cold. My steak was very poor quality. The owner discounted our bill but it was still expensive. We left hungry and will not be back.

We came back because last time things were improving. We sat right by the kitchen entrance. A young girl with braids, Elli, just kept eating buns or something from a warmer and she even ate food off of a customer's plate. Everyone was running around like their heads were cut off, no organization or communication. All new people except Kim. We did not get a cocktail for 45 minutes. And after 2.5 hours, and not getting our food-we ask to get it to go. It took another 30 minutes for them to get it ready. I was left standing in the bar waiting for our food while my husband went to the car. It did not seem like anyone was in charge. It was chaos! When we ate our food when we got home the hashbrowns were literally black on the bottom, We are not going back!

We had the prime rib for two. Rice pilaf was dry. French fries were cheap fast food fries. The AuJus for prime rib was fatty. The worst was the loaded baked potato soup. It had a burnt smell and taste. Our service was good. It's to bad that this once popular supper club is no longer a favorite.

Food was ok at best. Had to send one steak back because it was way over done. Second one came back with a sour flavor so we left it. Connell's used to be the best. New owners, new philosophy I suppose. We used to love this place. Not likely to go back. Barbera was awesome as usual though.

I cannot express how disappointed I am. Friday night my first time to ever go to this establishment, the start of the evening was amazing, server was nice and attentive the crackers and cheese were a nice snack. Had the dumpling soup it was amazing. Then the wait for the cheese curds was a little longer than you would expect. My boyfriend and I ordered the bone in ribeye and lobster ravioli. The wait was an hour, my garlic mashed potatoes were cold, the steak was over tenderized had no flavor and definitely was missing its bone! The lobster ravioli was okay nothing great until the hard peice of plastic was bitten into. We waited 10 minutes before our server checked on us. We got an apology for the plastic then was neglected the rest of our visit. Our drinks ran dry no one checked back. Then we waited an additional 15 minutes for the bill. We were told they were trying to contact the owner to comp us for the meal that contained the plastic. Nothing was done we stayed calm and polite we did not deserve to be neglected and pay 100$ for a meal that contained no bone and extra plastic. For my first time experience I'm very disappointed and will never return again.

This was horrible. We were seated and ordered. 15 mins after we ordered the waiter came and said they only had one portion of prime rib left and we needed to choose something else. We did then ordered 2 beers. In the 20 mins we waited for the drinks to come to the table 3 other tables walked out due to no service. Finally someone who was not our server brought 2 beers that were sitting open on the bar for 20 mins to us. We said forget it. Gave $10 for the sad salad bar we got and left. Never going back

Ordered ribs and chicken dinner as well as the 21 shrimp. Ribs for tender but far too much barbecue for our liking. Chicken seemed overly salty to us. Shrimp didn't seem particularly fresh. The hash browns were overdone and cold one served. The drinks were average as well. Our server was friendly. Overall, not sure it was a good value.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Horrible experience and horrible food. Went out to connells Friday night to check it out as it's under new ownership. The waitress was clearly new and severely under trained. She did not know the specials, or what beer they had. We said if you have spotted cow, we will take 2 of them. She came with the beers and said there is only one spotted cow left, that they were running out of everything...We placed our order and went to the salad bar, it was so bad everything was canned even the mushrooms, I have never seen canned mushrooms on a salad bar. When the food arrived we couldn't eat it my husband's shrimp tasted like it was frozen and very old tasted too fishy to eat. My fish was over cooked it was like eating fish jerky I had two bites and couldn't eat it, the baked potato was extremely under cooked It was like a hot raw potato, my fork couldn't even cut into it. When the waitress came back to see how we were, I told her the food was not good and she only offered her apology. I asked for the check, 85.00 for food we couldn't eat. I will never go there again.

It was an early reservation; we arrived at 5:00pm. It took 20 minutes to get the drink order from the bar, which consisted of two bottles of beer and one two-ingredient cocktail. The salad bar was fresh, but not much of a selection. Our relish tray was pitiful, as there was very little on it (for five people) and the celery and onions had brown spots. Bread/rolls okay, but nothing you can't get in a grocery store. The menu is limited, and of our party of five, only two of us were satisfied with the entree. None of us feel it was worth the price. All in all, it wasn't great, and we are not likely to return. Service however, was very friendly.

New owners and not what it was before and don't think it will be again. Sat at table for 20 mins before acknowledge, food arrived and was just luke warm, ordered an ice cream drink for dessert, one of us had to wait 10 mins for his because the had to make a new batch. It came and it was like whipped cream, found out they dont use ice cream anymore the use a powder mix and make the drinks a day ahead of time and put them in the freezer, the new bar manager has no people skills what so ever. Sorry we lost a good thing.

We had made reservations for 6pm on Friday evening. We arrived at 5:50. We knew we would probably have to wait until 6 which was okay, and there were only about six tables being utilized at that time. We didn't get seated until 6:15. It took a minute for the waitress to get to us, and we placed our order. Other tables that were seated after us were getting their food first. When we finally got our food about 30 minutes after ordering, which were the ribeye meals, the hash browns were cooked too fast on the outside as the inside was cold and the ribeyes were undercooked. Was very displeased with this restaurant. I don't know if I would return unless there was a reason to. Thank you.
