Friday fish fry and salad bar were amazing. The ribeye, which was $41 was subpar. Very fatty, much more fatty than it should have been and parts were cooked well done and the other part of the steak was barely cooked. It took 45 minutes for our food to come. We were seated within 5 minutes of arrival because we had a reservation. Was very busy, extremely noisy, and our waitress was very slow but very kind (appeared to be newer in the position). We have requested a booth several times and are never given that option when we arrive. The tables and the salad bar are too close so when you go through the line you now need to walk around a whole bunch of people as well as I saw many bumping people sitting in chairs near the salad bar. There is always a line for the salad bar, so I would recommend that they are given options to go on each side to lessen the line and the wait time to get a salad. There are many options in the salad bar and all is very good. The fish pieces were huge! The 14 oz ribeye after cutting away all the fat was essentially an 8 oz. I personally would not opt for their steak again, but definitely the fish.
This was the second time in a week we dined and the service again was an issue until a waiter took it upon himself to take our table. He stated there are times when people are seated at tables and no waiter is notified. Our wait time before he talked to us and took our drink order was over 15 minutes. The hostess appeared to be confused looking in our direction for several minutes until the waiter took our table. We were comp'd our pre-dinner drinks by the waiter for the inconvenience and long wait time. He also apologized that the kitchen was slow at getting dishes prepared. So we were warned to expect to wait for our entrees once we told him what they were. The food was good as it was earlier in the week: Whisky Burger and Beer Battered Perch Our waiter did a good job covering for restaurant confusion
As always, the food, service and atmosphere at High Shores was top notch last night! Gabe was our server, with a personality that made dinner even more enjoyable!
High Shores never disappoints in any facet of the dining experience from our being seated on time to savoring the last bite of dessert. A wonderful place for any occasion.
This is one of our new favorite spots. We seasonal in thea area over the summer. We have always had a great experience.
The service was super , good food, great view, brought family from out of town, they thought it was great. Walked down to the dock, took some pictures, a meal to remember.
Arrived early but was seated right away. Autumn was our server, and she did an excellent job. We liked the traditional salad bar. The smoked prime rib was prepared to our liking and was very, very good. We will be returning customers.
I love this place, but it wasn't a good night for High Shores. Their AC didn't keep up with the heat, my loaded baked potato wasn't warmed up enough in the microwave to be hot in the middle, and the service was mediocre because they appeared to be understaffed. It's too bad, because this is one of my favorite places to eat!
The new ownership has set a high bar on both value and quality and is doing a very good job of clearing that bar. We will certainly return for future dinners.
Fathers Day dinner with 10 person group, very slow and poor service from start to finish. Half the meals were over-cooked.

Atmosphere is always good, servers are attentive, unfortunately their food quality seems to be slipping. Was there Saturday, photo of the walleye is below. Literally 4 bites. Wife had the almond crusted and it went across the entire plate. Server said it was walleye, kitchen said it was walleye….i think if it was, they just have caught it on Wissota. For $25, prob not going back for it again.
Beautiful setting with lots of outdoor seating in addition to indoor. Very nice salad bar which comes with all entrees and by itself if you prefer. We went at 4:30 and it didn't get crowded until we were almost ready to leave. It gets too noisy for us to hear conversation during regular dinner time. That's not a problem when we sit outside, which is my preference, but my husband has temporary mobility issues so we wanted to be near the salad bar. When we left there were about 10 people in line at the salad bar. Prices aren't out of line. No gluten free options but the salad bar is better than most.
We had a reservation for six people at 6:45 pm. Called to change the number of people at 5 pm and to also see if we could come earlier. There was no problem to change the number of people but couldn't change the time. We got there at 6:10 or so. Sat at the bar and took a while to get served. At 6:55 we questioned the hostess about our table and we were told they were just cleaning it up and resetting. The view was incredible. They happened to be out of burgers and baked potatoes so someone didn't plan for a Memorial Day weekend. Food delicious and priced perfectly.
Wonderful evening at High Shores and our server, Sami , was top notch! Thank you for a amazing dining experience celebrating our graduate!
We had a party of 7 and received our food in stages. Two of our party received the food 15 min after the first four and the seventh got theirs another 5 min after that. No aplogy.
