We love the food here. Everything is so tasty. My only real complaint is twice in my order to go order; we would order two orders of garlic naan and only received one and extra tamarind sauce and again only got one when asked for extras. We will keep going back cause the food is so dang good! 🩶 we are so happy to have good Indian food in the Chippewa Valley!

Food excellent. Service not so much. I left tonight feeling like we got swindled. Reasons: 1. Full disclosure we had a large table (14 of us) but we made a reservation. We were sat at 6pm. Did not get asked for drink order until 40 min later. Did not leave restaurant until 9pm. 🤯 Never even really got assigned a waiter. 2. The manager tried to talk us into starters and did not want to take our main order until we finally ordered bread baskets. 3.Two orders never came. Got charged for the one that we took to-go. The other we refused and didn't get charged. 4. The manager insisted on dessert. Finally he said free. We thought because the night was taking too long and orders were wrong. But no, he said he was bringing 3 desserts for table and at end of night we had to pay for FOUR!! I've never been so annoyed. If you do venture into this place, don't let manager talk you into anything you don't want or anything that sounds complimentary. You will be charged.

I have been here twice in the last two weeks and I will be going back next week! The food is absolutely delicious not too spicy and not too mild. I’m a vegetarian and there’s plenty of options so I was very happy about that!. I had the mango lassi the flavor was so fresh! After our meal I had the hot chai very flavorful! The people are the nicest I’ve ever met. I feel like I’ve made new friends!

Outstanding and flavorful traditional Indian dishes. The Chippewa Valley has needed food of this caliber for some time now.

This was a very needed addition to Chippewa's lack of variety in dining experiences. The food was amazing and the spices used in the cooking were wonderful. Service was top notch as well. If you have the pleasure of meeting Francis he will make you feel like you are family with how he treats you.

I was super hyped about having a proper Indian restaurant in the area (Mango Indian is terrible, so it doesn't count), but alas I am disappointed. The food was good, not as good as Darbar or India Palace in the twin cities, but tasty (although my partner disagrees)

The prices are hard to understand until you realize that the portion sizes are absurd (we each got through only a third of our plates). I'd very much prefer a reasonably sized meal for a reasonable price.

Finally... I know the owner was attempting to be friendly, but it was too much; It came off as intrusively promotional and it was genuinely uncomfortable. He basically awkwardly compelled us to take a picture with the food we ordered and implored us to share it on social media... absolutely *hated* that.

The Christmas music was also irritating and cringe.

Tonight we went to the New Maharaja Indian restaurant in Chippewa for the first time… it was EXCELLENT!! From walking in the door, the table service and the excellent entrees. My partner said the garlic naan and Chicken Nilgiri Korma were excellent and my Spicy Chicken Vindaloo was the best I’ve had in a long time.
We will be back… soon!!

We loved the food!

We’re big fans of Indian cuisine, and this place offers a great introduction to moderately spiced Indian dishes. The food isn’t overwhelmingly spicy, so if you’re new to Indian food or prefer a milder experience, I highly recommend giving them a try.

I especially enjoyed their Kheer (a rice and milk dessert). It was incredibly soft, perfectly flavored with cardamom, and just the right level of sweetness—not too overpowering. The chicken was also excellent, well-marinated, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients.

The service was outstanding! Everyone was so respectful, and the owner personally welcomed us, which was a lovely touch. It made the experience even more memorable, blending both Indian flavors and hospitality.

They have a sports bar in the front and a cozy restaurant in the back that features a 7-day buffet.

Tip for beginners: If you’re looking to tone down the spice a little, try some Raita (a yogurt and vegetable side) or a glass of Lassi (yogurt drink).

We’ll definitely be coming back. Thanks for the wonderful service!
