At first we thought the business was closed due to limited cars in the parking lot and unkept exterior, but after reading the reviews and seeing the “open”’sign on, we decided to give it a try. Boy, we were pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious and the prices were great. We had the combo fajitas and chicken enchiladas (had a nice heat to them). The servers and cook were pleasant and nice!

We take a motorcycle ride to Coleman once a week just to eat at El Vaquero. Terrific food and wonderful staff. Lots of good choices in Coleman but if you have not tried El Vaquero, I highly recommend.
Every time we visit the staff is very kind, helpful, and introduces us to new menu items. They are always very hospitable. I would recommend everyone to try it.

I was always apprehensive about stopping because I never saw any cars outside, so I'm happy I did. Friendly staff, clean and bright interior, inexpensive, and tasty food. The lengua was so tender. I can't wait to stop again. Coleman is lucky to have a place like this.

By far the best Mexican food I ever had! The tostadas were incredibly crisp and delicious! Definitely not skimpy on cheese and sour cream. Delicious variety of authentic hot sauces on the table!

Absolutely delicious! The building needs some tlc sure, but the food is fantastic! Not much heat but the sauces provided add plenty. I imagine this is catering to the tastes of the local population which makes sense. Bottom line, good ingredients and the chef clearly cares about what they send out. Hidden gem.

Good food, good prices. Empanadas were awesome
Please don’t let the building slow you down from stopping here! The building is certainly a work in progress! The food coming out of that kitchen is delicious!!! I got the chicken fajitas and they were amazing! They don’t skimp you!! Well worth the price! Flavor town is where you will go if you stop here! Again the building is a diamond in the rough, but the food is authentic and delicious.
