Oakstone has great food, fun games for kids to play and it’s got cool spaces for kids to run outside. We’ve enjoyed some outdoor concerts in the summer as well.

As someone who is normally NOT a fan of salmon, get ANY of their salmon dishes! You can thank me later! And if you’re a volleyball fan, this is THE volleyball bar in the Madison area! The food, the drinks & the service are all fantastic! We LOVE this place! ❤️

Attended a company Christmas party there. The food was great, a little chilly in the rec area, I'd advise a sweater or sweatshirt. I'm sure it's cooler in there because it's such a large space and normally one would be playing games in that space. Overall a very nice place with attentive staff.

Oakstone Recreational is a great spot if you’re into volleyball or have a team that likes to play regularly. The indoor courts are a big plus, and it definitely has that lively sports bar atmosphere. They do serve food — I didn’t get a chance to eat there myself, but everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked good, and people seemed to be enjoying it.

The bartenders have been really nice and friendly every time I’ve been there. The front greeters are professional and do their job, though they don’t come across as overly warm or enthusiastic. The biggest downside for me is the acoustics — it can get very loud, which makes it a little hard to relax or have a conversation, but that’s also part of the high-energy sports environment.

Overall, I’d give Oakstone a solid 4 out of 5. It’s a good choice if you like an active sports setting and especially if you’re there to play volleyball, even though it’s not necessarily the kind of place I’d personally choose to just hang out in for a long time.

I have been coming here since they opened and it gets better every year. The food is not your average bar food. It is definitely a step up. The owners , Jenn and Josh, are always around and are so personable and welcoming. The volleyball atmosphere is great too!

Very comfortable environment this place must be A newer establishment because every single thing looks New. The food was delicious the drinks were spot on. I would recommend this Restaurant / Bar + Indoor outdoor Volleyball + Darts, Slot Machines, Claw Games, Wi Pull tabs, 13+ Flat Screens, massive parking lot and excellent staff.

We - two did not know the area and wanted food that was not franchise food. We happened to be there Friday for fish fry and having in the past tried many many fish fries in Wisconsin this one was wonderful. We LOVED IT!

Second time going here for an early dinner. The wait staff was more interested in chatting amongst themselves than tending to their guests. Curds and fries were soaked in grease and over powering garlic taste. Didn’t even eat more than a handful. Waitstaff stood at the hostess stand talking and staring at tables they wanted to wrap up eating so they could set up big tops.
3 meals barely eaten they didn’t ask if we wanted boxes just took our plates, wait at least 15 minutes for a bill I had to request.

Tried this place this past Monday based on a recommendation. Food was okay, not great. The person doing trivia was obnoxiously loud. The service staff were incredibly rude.
