Been eating here for years. Every time I leave with a full belly and was happy I stopped in. Always some good cooking coming out of the kitchen and served by a friendly waitress.

Me and my wife eat breakfast in or around Delavan most weekends and some weekday mornings. We’ve been all over and like to try places we haven’t been before, which led us to Deb’s country diner.
This was my second visit. Upon my first visit I noticed the lack of cleanliness including spiderwebs and dead bugs in the windows and a thick layer of dust on everything. My coffee cup had a crack running down the inside and a large chip at the bottom on the outside and was stained from long term use (this will be important) I chalked all of this up to an older couple running the place by themselves and the food was good. I asked about a recipe the owner used for some jams and they were hesitant to tell, I understand, but they said come back next week and we’ll talk about it. I returned with my wife today and dined again, everything was the same and the food was good but when paying the check they owner said “I’ll get you your change, unless you’d like to pay for the coffee cup you left with last week”
I was shocked and very confused, I came back here to talk about a strawberry rhubarb jam recipe and now I’m being accused of stealing, and the coffee cup in question? The cracked, stained, chipped mug? Yep, that’s the one they felt so necessary to accuse me of taking. Why would anyone take that? And why on earth would you accuse a returning customer of thievery without any evidence?
I will not be back.

My boyfriend and I ate here two times. First time was a great experience. Unfortunately the second time we ate there (a week later) after we got finished with the meal she told us our total & added “unless you would like to pay for that mug you stole last week” .. we both looked at each other in SHOCK! She accused us of stealing! We did not steal her coffee stained, chipped, cracked mug from the 80s.. HAHA! Are you serious? Will not be going back. RUDE.. & so disappointing.. we would have returned frequently if that didn’t happen.

We got two breakfast hash browns with eggs and uncooked mushrooms and where is the meat it's supposed to be a garbage platter like it's kind of just that garbage the hash browns are like mashed potatoes and the gravies we ordered were like flour with no sausage in it almost and it was 26 bucks for two breakfast takeouts
