We entered this cafe at 1:15 pm, fully aware that they close at 2:00 pm. Almost immediately after we walked in, a man began vacuuming right by the register, which felt very odd and unwelcoming. After we placed our drink orders and sat down, the same man proceeded to loudly clank chairs together, push tables into a corner, and sweep dust and dirt around the area where we were sitting.
This was not only distracting but also appalling, especially since more customers walked in, noticed the commotion, and even turned around to stare at what was happening. The behavior was very surprising, and sadly, I believe it was racially motivated. His actions came across as deliberately hostile.
Because of this experience, we will not be recommending this cafe to others, and we will not be returning. I strongly urge others to boycott as well.

My barista was great in communication skills and highly competent in her ability to make drinks. She was very personable and made the experience where I didn’t feel so out of place. Walked in with a bad mood but left feeling more content. Salmon and lox bagel was good, affogato was good. Apparently so is Snickerdoodle latte if you favor a sweet drink.
