I liked the atmosphere. There is a striving to provide quality and it is palpable. Food and coffee drink presentation is nice and mood is lively on a Saturday. My Glorioso omelet had no seasoning, and nothing really Mexican tasting about it. It needs a rework, but even so it gets points for looking pretty and being earnestly well assembled together. My kid raved about the burger. Fries were superb. Next time I will get the poutine.

Great food and coffee! The service was great as well! The only thing is it's a small space so when it's busy it gets noisy. So, it's not a great place to catch up with friends unless you want to be shouting a bit. Other than that, it's awesome food and family friendly.

Four of us stopped here a couple weeks ago. The others really liked their breakfasts - fajita eggs Benedict and the French toast. I ordered poached eggs, sausage and hash browns. The hash browns were perfectly done, golden and crisp and not a bit greasy. The sausages were cooked til very dark, just as I like them. They tasted homemade and they were deliciously seasoned. The problem I had was with my poached eggs. I'm very familiar with different methods of cooking them, including adding a little vinegar to the water while they cook so that the white doesn't separate. But whichever chef made my eggs that morning used a LOT of vinegar. When I first took a bite, it was as if I was eating a pickled egg. I couldn't eat them. They were the worst breakfast eggs I ever had. I'd much rather lose a little of the white in the boiling water than to eat sour poached eggs. The sourdough toast was good but had no butter on it. It came with a small dish of homemade preserves which were delicious. All in all, I would try the place again, but I would never order their poached eggs. The bill for four of us came to about $110 with a tip which I thought was pretty pricey for breakfast.

What a great little breakfast/lunch spot! It is small, if you have to wait for a table there are only two chairs if they are taken no good place to stand and wait, unless there are spots at the bar. The food here is great, amazing breakfast options with a twist, definitely not your average fair. They also have salads, sandwiches and soup for lunch options. My friend is vegan and she was able to find many options and they will customize for you as well. I had the Chuck Norris sandwich and they substituted the bun with gluten free bread for me. The sandwich came with a choice of fries or fresh fruit. I was surprised by the number of specialty cocktails they have, great drink menu that you don't normally find in breakfast/lunch places. I would have given 5 stars except my sandwich was overly salty and the fries were soggy, if not for that everything was perfect. I will definitely go back and highly recommend.

On our way out of town, a friend and I decided to stop in at Toast & Co. for breakfast. Recommended by a local business owner, it was exactly what I was looking for, local flair, unique and homey. Tucked away on a side street we almost gave up trying to find it. Mainly because our navigation system delivered us a block or so away. Perseverance paid off though, with this delightful little restaurant. The serving staff were filled with soul nourishing mid-west charm and friendliness. From warm smiles to sincere concern for our well being that was nice, welcome and appreciated. You just don't find that everywhere. The menu was written with an eye towards the humorous. Filled with plays on words and amusing jokes, (my favorite was the 'Challeluhyah French Toast') it was fun just reading the names and descriptions. I ordered the 'Florentine Benny,' a perfectly prepared poached egg, atop some sautéed spinach, prosciutto & grape tomatoes, on a toasted slice of sourdough and covered in a zesty light hollandaise sauce. My friend ordered the 'Nasty Leroy' a poached egg over hash browns with sausage gravy, a piece of fried chicken breast, topped with pickled onions and hollandaise. Slightly spicy this was a meal. To top it off he ordered a Latte that was perfectly prepared with the froth formed into a beautiful leaf. All of the food was delicious and perfectly prepared. It took a little while more than we expected to prepare it, but when we mentioned our concern to the staff they immediately addressed the issue and ensured our food was delivered to us within minutes. They addressed our concern so completely, I did not deduct stars in my rating. Truly, the only reason I'm mentioning it, is to highlight how diligent they were in addressing a minor issue when it did arise. Already known to locals, I recommend Toast and Co. to out-of-towners too. A little off the beaten path, it's worth taking the path less traveled. It truly made all the difference!

Pros: food is well done. Eggs benedict with actual hollandaise instead of powder mix. Charming atmosphere. Attentive servants. I've been a couple times and the food has been consistent in quality. Variety of light and heavy fare. Dishes are sophisticated and plated well. Prices are very reasonable.Cons: very loud, they could use some acoustic baffles on the ceiling.
