Today at the Landmark must have been a special day because the bartender was "special" I don't know how much he paid them but they did not get their moneys worth. I do not remember his name but it started with a T. I think Timothy or Tony, something like that. I asked for a Vodka and Water, he asked me what was all in it. It appeared everyone was having a good time, probably because of the spirits, but they did not have sugar free Red-bull. Only go there for a good time!!!

A solid 3.5 for this lovely townie bar! It's a typical Wisconsin dive bar with a real chill vibe. It's a great spot for a cheap drink or bite to eat. The same crowd hangs around and feel very much at home at Landmark. It's surprisingly clean for a dive bar and has very nice games/slot machines. They don't have a lot of beers on tap and they don't have a soda gun for mixed drinks but they do have plenty of liquor, cans, and bottles to choose from. For food, they offer burgers, chicken and steak sandwiches, hot dogs, and brats. Very basic but gets the job done! They have tvs, pull tabs, darts, a modern juke box, and slot machines to entertain you during your visit. They have their own parking lot and are located right in downtown deforest. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit but enjoy being a regular in our small DeFo town!

I hear it is under new ownershio and re opening soon and I will give it another chance. But when we first moved in years ago we thought we would give the landmark a chance seeing it looked like a really cool place to go. We walked in, a group of 4, and got a stare down and the immediate feeling we were not welcome as we were 'fresh meat' so to speak. They were even rude when taking our drink orders and giving us our drinks. Yes, it was years ago, but it left a nasty taste on our mouths as I'm not spending my money where I'm not appreciated. We will try it again when it re opens under new ownership, but I am not hoping for much. It would be really nice having a local bar close to home, but I will drive farther happily to support a business that appreciates it customers.
