2nd time I ordered the t bone. 1st time was cooked rare when I ordered medium well. 2nd time the t bone was so tuff I couldn't even eat it. 26.00 bucks plus tip/charity for bagging it up. What do you do, complain and have them spit in your food.

Update 12 months later: Same story. Lol! Out of items on their specials and didnt even offer a substitute. Server forgetting items etc... not to mention the place is a disaster still. Booths and flooring tore up, tables that rock back and forth, ceiling tiles displaced.... zzzzzzz wont be back next year.
use to love this place. It was definitely better with old management. No refills on soda that costs 5 cents for you, but 3.30+ for the customer. Food is mediocre, Service is awful. They will be out of items on their specials and wont give you any options for substitutes.. so im paying for something im not getting? Ok ! :)

Food was excellent & large portions, well worth the money! Bakery is great! Had fritters & chocolate cream puffs. The only negative is, the place is very dirty! It needs some major detail cleaning especially in bathrooms.

The fish was horrible. Slimy and over fishy taste and smell. I had to argue with the owner to take it off my bill. Horrendous customer service. I loved the Pine Cone. These owners are jerks.

I give them a 2/5 for trying. Although the overall experience was a 1/5. Food was mediocre at best and very expensive for what you're getting. Waiter rushed us to order and the whole place felt like they didn't have their act together. There's way better breakfast in the area. Try Gus' diner instead.

Side of onion rings is about a dollar an onion ring and they're not big. Had I known I was getting that little for my money I wouldn't have bothered. Then they divided the bill wrong and I wound up paying for some of my friends food.
It's a truck stop, so the bar is already set pretty low, but they consistently fail to meet it. The food is mediocre at best. My pancakes today were undercooked and tasteless. Very disappointing. Server never came back to check on us. Generally a poor place to eat. Do yourself a favor and head on down the road, your stomach will thank you.

Good ole classic mom and pop restaurant! Damn good food and even better service. I'm doing a 34HR RESET and have been in there 4 times 😂 waitresses have always been kind, attentive, and welcoming. Open arms whether it was morning, noon, or dang near closing. Good size portions for a very reasonable price. Ok, I have 4 leftover containers cause I was never able to finish a whole meal. But I've got food for tomorrow and the next day!🤣 Plenty of room for trucks to park. Open 6 am-9 pm every day.
