Went there for dinner for our anniversary and everything was amazing! This was my second time at this restaurant and it was even better! Service and food were excellent! 10/10 would recommend!
No high chairs, so bring your own. Almost everything had a depth of flavor that was on par. There were just a couple of items that were too seasoned (too much garlic, too much salt).
High cost menu, but you get what you pay for. Never been disappointed.
Love my experience every time I go here. Staff is always nice and attentive. Food is impeccable.
My husband and I went to Kurt’s last night to celebrate my birthday. Our experience was amazing.. I had the 20 ounce African lobster special and it was outstanding. My husband had the scallops and they were delicious. Our drinks were very good also. I had a wonderful cosmopolitan before dinner and chocolate martini after dinner. The service was fantastic from the time we arrived until we left. Good dining experiences are hard to come by these days and Kurts exceeded our expectations.
We dined here last night. Starters were the calamari and cheese curds (it’s Wisconsin after all) both were excellent. Specials were the impressive Waghu tomahawk steaks which were ordered with the blue cheese topping(an extra charge but so worth it if you are a blue cheese lover) and Waghu flat iron steak which is served with a Demi glacé. It was ordered medium rare and was cooked to perfection with a slightly crisp crust and soft pillowy medium rare inside. I can’t say enough about that steak. One of our party had the South African lobster tail special and it was a show stopper. We also had the petite filet from the menu and it arrived perfectly cooked and flavorful. Sides were lobster bisque and mushroom truffle soups and you will not get any better soups anywhere on the planet in my opinion. Dinners come with your choice of starch garlic mashed or Parmesan au gratin potatoes. The Parmesan potatoes are the perfect blend of potato to cheese sauce. We also had an order of Brussels sprouts which were nicely cooked just the right amount of time with some snap to them and well seasoned. Our service was excellent. If you want a flawless amazing dinner experience that is not a large chain this is the place to go.
We went to Kurt‘s steakhouse on a Friday evening at 6 PM. We had a small fillet and the seafood plate. Oysters Rockefeller and Brussel sprouts.I am definitely a foodie I can say hands-down this was the best meal I have had in a very long time. Every part of our meal was done to perfection. Our server was polite and fun. I will definitely be going back. The only thing I would let guest know is that it gets very crowded and food can take a long time, about 30 minutes between each course, to be served. I am fine with this, but glad to know for future dinners.
great atmosphere and great food.
Went for my sons 21st birthday, wasn’t greeted very nicely. Been here many times prior and it was great. This time was the opposite. I really wanted to make it a special dinner for my son. No birthday song or dessert like the other times I’ve brought family here for birthdays. Server had an attitude initially about our table being old enough to order alcoholic beverages. I explained I was there with my wife and son, our server acted rude as if she thought I was lying. It was very uncomfortable. I’m 39, my wife 28, my son’s girlfriend is 21 and my son 21. Our server did apologize and we moved past the initial incident, but my steak was rare when ordered medium well. I didn’t complain, I hate complaining at any place I go and I still left over twenty percent tip, but every other time there, my steak is butterfly cut and cooked perfect. Just kind of a disappointing dinner. We come here for special occasions and pay the higher prices happily because the food and service is usually outstanding. Maybe they just had an off night, but this was a big night for my son and I had really hoped we would’ve been greeted and taken care of like other times. I brought my dad here for his 60th birthday and they sang to him and brought out a slice of pie with a candle, he still talks about it!! Try to remember that most people come here on very special occasions that are important to them, you hold the power to make lasting memories by how you treat them.
Very friendly chefs

I have been coming to Kurt's since their now 5oz steak costing $45.00 was a 6oz costing $10.00. Yes a long time. But tonights dining experience was a true disappointment. Our drink at the bar was as usual, great.
Nice bar tender and excellent old fashion. However once being seated things changed due to our waitress. Our order was taken but she neglected to bring our bread basket which we had to ask for . Our salads were served and then the wait for our dinner started. We waited and we waited and finally I asked where is our dinner. Our waitress replied the cook is working on it. While we sat waiting others who were seated after us were being served their dinners. Finally after over a long 20 minute wait our dinners were served. I then asked for a cup of coffee which I never was served. Now as mentioned my patronizing Kurt's has been for many many years and the reason being the quality of food. Tonight's steak was different. We both ordered the 5oz steak and both steaks were so uniform in size and appearance looking like they were sliced like you slice liver sausage and with a texture so unlike a butcher bought steak was noticed. I have read and heard they now have prossesed glued steak and if I didn't know any better that is what I believe we were served. I have been eating steak at Kurt's for many years and this steak did not compare to the steaks Kurt's has served me in the past. From standing room only on a Saturday night to no reservations needed on a Saturday night tells me others must have noticed the change also. It is often spoken "all good things come to and end" . So sad!

Tables are too crowded. Bone-in ribeye is the best anywhere. But whoever heard of a Wisconsin steak house that didn’t serve baked potatoes?! A baked potato is a crucial part of the great steak experience!!
Still a loyal customer though!?

Amazing food and service (shout out to Mary)! My steak was cooked to perfection (h/t to Kurt), as were the other meals for my family. Everything from the bread, appetizers, main course and dessert was delicious. I can't recommend strongly enough - one of the best meals I've had in a very long time.
