Beautiful outdoor seating. The lunch service and food were very good.

The food was okay nothing fancy or spectacular. The beer was delicious. They have a small dining area but the patio is nice to sit out on! For a sandwich and a beer costed $15, not too bad.

Raw cold and pink chicken tenders, bland macaroni and cheese- not to mention the"brisket" for the mac and cheese is literally just cubed ham. Didn't see a kid's menu, or most of the items they had listed in their pictures either. Our waiter was very kind and had a good sense of humor, which is the only positive thing my family of 10+ walked out with. But all in all, would not recommend to anyone. Extremely disappointed.

Picked this restaurant for their outdoor seating and location after visiting Pirate's Hideaway with the kids and friends. It's hard to look for descent restaurants around here and I'd have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. It's on a golf course so the scenery is great and food selection was great too. I had the chicken sandwich, the bread was too thick but the chicken was cooked to perfection. Kids had the Mac and cheese which was on their adult menu but the server recommended the kids sharing due to their large portions. A friend ordered a salad and the greens were fresh and was not smothered in dressing! The usual experience up here is to get fried foods at restaurants as they usually don't have healthy selections but I was very happy with how everything was prepared. Would definitely go again when I'm up here again. Four adults and four kids ate for under $90!

In town for 2 weeks for a conference, I come to a place I know, 28 Lakes Ale House, as I play golf at the course yearly. I know the food is good and the service is good. I am a teacher and need to have everything tax exempt, the establishment won't run it as tax exempt and tell me this after I order my food. Not happy as I was upfront about it needing to tax exempt. Manager of place (not on premise) said they couldn't/wouldn't do it as tax exempt through a text to workers. I will be telling everyone else at my conference not to visit this establishment while we are in town for the conference.

Kip is the BEST bartender around!! They serve good appetizers but when we came there for a fish fry in 2018 I was appalled at the quantity and quality of food considering they had just hired a chef and NOT a cook. For $14.95 You get one small flavorless piece of catfish and 2 of the SMALLEST pieces of potato pancakes I have ever seen. There coleslaw is nothing more than lettuce and cabbage!! No sauce, no seasonings, NOTHING!! We had deep-fried catfish and that to only had one piece. The cod actually had more but that as well was bland. The red potato option was small and lacked flavor. DEFINITELY THE LAST LAST PLACE TO GO IF YOU WANT A GOOD NORTHWOODS FISH FRY!! This was the first time in My life that I have left a restaurant and came home and made something else to eat because the portions should be on the kids menu!! JUST AWFUL...........

Had high hopes for the new chef and menu but our lunch here was slightly disappointing. Kitchen was out of a couple of sides choices. Two of four of our orders came out wrong. Food was good but nothing spectacular. Actually preferred the menu/food we had last year. On a positive the beer selection continues to be one of the best in the area!

Great service and food! Had just gotten into town and needed a place to eat but it was late on a Sunday night. Despite it being close to closing time when we walked in we still received great service and food!
