So impressed with this restaurant! Employees were all friendly and welcoming, our Server, Morgan, was attentive and very accommodating. We had a chance to meet Chef Rene, he treated us like we were longtime friends! Chef's Father is a Sweetheart! Had us laughing!
We dined on Beef Stroganoff, Scallops Pernod, and Shrimp Alfredo. All 3 dishes were Fantastic.
The Fontinella and Spinach soup (special) was out of this world!
Thank you Chef Rene and your Staff! We will come back on our next trip Up North!

Would love to have eaten here but was treated rather rudely because we did not have a reservation even though there were many open tables, and she refused to accommodate us at all. I will likely never return because of that.

the fillets were great the 24 ounce tbonewas great my duck you could have not very good server was attentive and helpful
It rare that we disagree so strongly about a place. The front door was littered with cigarette butts, a bucket and broom and a bad smell. We went early to get a drink at the bar and were greeted by a grumpy bartender who was counting his drawer. We felt like we were interrupting him when he turned the sound up on the sports talk show. The place smelled musty and looked dirty. We could see they were still setting up for dinner. This was not what we were expecting for fine dining but didn’t decide to leave until my husband came back from the bathroom which was filthy.

We recently went to Chef Renee’s for a special anniversary dinner and were disappointed. None of us had dined with them before, but were so excited to try the restaurant. They could benefit from a lesson in customer service!! From making the reservation to paying the bill the hostess was VERY rude! We will not be returning and would suggest you give other restaurants your business. For the price, the food was very average. We did have a delicious old fashioned to start our meal, which sadly was the best part of our experience at Chef Renee’s. In a word…disappointing😒

I have to give it up for Chef Renee's. The Server said one of the specials was Duck Confit. I am in, duck one of my favorites. Served with a blueberry chutney, The duck cooked absolutely perfectly.Lettuce/kale greens and wild rice. This plate was the best thing I've ever tasted. By the way my wife's dish of fresh made garden pasta with large scallops was top notch as well. Great job Chef and staff! Chefs father makes and hands out finger puppets. Awesome

My daughter had her wedding at Chef Rene's at Eagle River and it was FANTASTIC! The food was beyond amazing. Pistachio encrusted chicken in a raspberry sauce, homemade scalloped potatoes, smoked brisket and green beans with walnuts. It was absolutely delicious. Sonja the event coordinator kept to the dinner timeline, worked so hard the day of the wedding, and answered all of my questions about the wedding. The servers and bartenders were also so great. If you are looking for a place to hold a wedding/reception I highly recommend Chef Rene's at Eagle River. Having an outside wedding over looking the water, and the Eagle River Inn & Resort attached to the restaurant was perfect. 10/10 recommend Chef Rene's at Eagle River
This happened on junteenth. I had to beg my fiance to come to this restaurant with me. She's black and very shy about going out here. I assured her this was a nice restaurant with nice people. I've had very nice meals here. Our waitress was very short with us and treated us differently than her other customers. She rushed us through and even took our plates without asking if we were done. The food wasn't good and by far the worst meal I've had there. My fiancé's pasta was stuck together in one big clump and there was something off about the chicken. I ended up taking her to subway afterwards. I would sure like to know who was cooking. All the entrees coming out for the other tables looked good. She's worried about being poisoned and so am I. Are yall a bunch of racist or what? This was the first time in my life I didn't tip. Never coming back. 90$ for a meal that was awful and a passive aggressive waitress.
Four dinners, three were very good. My beef was gristly and tough, not tenderloin. Also it was supposed to be linguini but it was more an egg noodle instead. Bit disappointed.
Beautiful location with good food.
