The first you notice are the beautiful flowers that line the walkways to the gift shop and the ice cream stand. Then you walk down the path to the Tiki Bar where you can have a drink before the cruise. Their oven fired pizzas are delicious. There are hula hoops, corn hole games and a large connect four game for the kids to enjoy while waiting. Captain Steve and his shipmate Caroline are Great hosts. They make the cruise very entertaining. The kids get to drive the pirate ship which they thoroughly enjoyed. The kids get free pirate bandanas and temporary tattoos. The cruise is fun for the entire family. If you are in Eagle River Wisconsin the Pirate Hideaway is an enjoyable destination for all ages. We will definitely visit it again! Brought my 5 grandkids and 4 parents of course. We just had the best time! Great ride great length too when you have littles. Enjoyed some ice cream. And was very very impressed by the care taken with my granddaughters peanut allergy. Got some prizes at the gift shop. Just a wonderful time! Thanks so much!!

We were a private group of 18. Kids age 17-9 months. We all dressed in costumes and had a blast. we bought their pizzas which were delicious Brought are own beverages. salad and appetizers. Highly recommend!

Pizza should not start at $25 and add $4 for each topping, I paid $34 for a medium sized pizza with a 15% tip, but I came back to write this review cuz I have another mysterious $5 charge from them on top of my $34 transaction. $39 for a basic pizza? Ridiculous. Kids on the beach looked happy but all their parents were at the tiki bar getting wasted

My family had a wonderful time on the tour. The captain and crew were great with my 11 and 9 year old. Both got to drive the ship and enjoyed the tattoos and bandanas. Great for adults too. Also had fun playing cornhole and getting ice cream. Lovely gardens to walk through and admire. This is a great spot to chill out, even if you don’t take the boat tour. Highly recommend!

The pirate ship tour is always a lot of fun. The crew make it an enjoyable experience providing commentary on things to see (eagle nests, otters ...) around the multiple lakes you tour. Some pirate snacks are provided. As this was a sunset cruise, we got to see a beautiful sunset over the lakes and also as it had rained briefly at the beginning of our trip there were rainbows. Seating is comfortable and everyone has the opportunity to move around the ship during the cruise. Going up to the top where the captain drives the ship is always fun as you can see more from that high vantage point and Captain Steve always accommodates the kids who want to drive the ship. Many times, there are hand drawn (temporary) tattoos done on kids by the pirate crew members. The ship ride is a very fun experience for kids and adults alike.
The wood fired oven pizzas are GREAT. A wide variety of options for people to choose from. The Best in the whole Northwoods area with top notch ingredients and a crust that is simply wonderful. Oh, and don't miss the ice cream stand on the upper deck of the shore facility above the music pavilion/tiki bar. LOTS of options and amazing sundaes. The "pirate/island" drink menu is fantastic. The bartenders are wonderful and clearly work hard to serve the many customers. Also, they have Live music 4 nights a week (FREE) that provides for a great evening with all the other amenities. Wide variety of music provided and always entertaining.
Lots of games for kids and adults to play out on the lawn area by the lake, and many tables for seating both in shade and in sun as desired. On some occasions they have a person with huge bubble maker and at least once or twice there is a real live mermaid, both of which the kids of all ages thoroughly enjoy.
Pirates Hideaway is simply a pirate's treasure in the Northwoods and something everyone can enjoy. We go multiple times in the summer and are never disappointed. We HIGHLY recommend a visit to see Captain Steve, Linda, Pirates Stevo and Jamie and all of their wonderful staff.

My kids did the tour with their grandparents this past weekend. Pizza & ice cream before the boat ride was very good. Everyone really enjoyed the boat ride on the Eagle River lakes. The kids LOVED taking turns driving the boat & getting some cool pirate inspired temporary tattoos.
