I came here last year and absolutely loved it. Came back this year and was really disappointed. Online via the QR code on the menu there was an option for a Ribeye, in person they didn’t have it available on the menu. We ordered cheese curds, our food was delivered first and our server seemed shocked we hadn’t gotten them yet. It seems like she forgot to put the order in. We also asked for water and our server offered to bring us a pitcher but then she forgot. I got the Mint classic burger, it was really tasty! The people I was with got the Grilled chicken sandwich; they loved it. The tater tots were ok, just basic frozen tater tots that are fried. When the cheese curds were finally delivered they were pretty good, fresh and hot. Overall just disappointed by the service.

Food is very good. Fresh, obviously made of house.

This is our second trip. We highly recommend the Airline chicken (the person who ate it, ate every bit). The pork chop was so tasty (but does deserve a larger plate). The fish fry was not heavily breaded letting the fish shine. The shrimp skewers were seasoned just right. We had those twice.

​What really made our night, however, was our server, Courtney. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Her excellent service added so much to our dining experience. We highly recommend The Craftsman American Tavern for a great meal and friendly service!

Sub-par millennial burger joint: complete with aluminum chairs, canvas aprons, square tray metal plates, and truffle oil. Service was friendly but lazy and the food was unremarkable.

Beautiful place. Unfortunately our food was lackluster. Dry unseasoned pulled pork. Pork belly appetizer was dripping grease making it inedible. Kids Mac was Kraft dinner. Kids fries were barely cooked through. The waiter we had was nice enough until it came time for us to pay when we found out they will not split your bill. Told by management that it costs the restaurant too much money as it was to run cards. For our party of 5 adults and 3 children our meal came to just shy of $200. For the money spent I do not see returning for food. The drink menu looked amazing so maybe we will try again for a cocktail down the road.

We were looking forward to this restaurant the most on this vacation and ended having the biggest let down.
There was a 25-30min wait which wasnt an issue, we walked around downtown until we got a call that our table was ready. We got our 1st drink order in, apps and those came out and we gave our dinner order and thats where our server disappeared. Noone had a drink for over 40min or saw the server. I had to go to the bar to ask for drinks and bartender said that what your server is for. So after another 10 min i went back to bartender and said i know its our servers job but she doesnt exist around here. So bartender agreed to make us drinks.
Later on server showed back up w food. We mentioned we havent seen her in forever and that we had to go to the bar for drinks. She said thats fine, thats what they are there for. We mentioned the kids havent had water in 40min so she brought a pitcher. Never checked on us again, just sent the 1 host with the bill. So we had the host get us boxes and sauce sides that our server had never gotten for us.

Easily the best craft food and drink in the region. We look forward to our visits each summer. Great food and drinks and staff. Owner greeted us and bought a round. They can get busy in an area where it’s hard to keep fully staffed so sometimes long waits for tables. But it’s worth it!!
