All the food we had was good. Broasted chicken, steak sandwich, pizza. Bar area can be a little bit load at times. Also, be aware that they charge a 3.5% fee for credit cards.

After a full day of traveling to Eagle River for our annual vacation, we decided on Twelve Pines. Our usual first night dinner is at Chanticleer, but they were closed. The handicapped spots were taken up with golf carts full of younger people. The cement ramp to the door was very broken up and bumpy, I had to hold on to the person in our party who uses a walker. As we walked in, the bar was full, presumably with locals. We were seated, given menus, and two pitchers of water from the bus boy. It took awhile for our waitress to show up. I observed another waitress taking orders from people who arrived after us. Our waitress appeared to be new to the job, which is fine. But it was also evident that she had no interest in being there. She was unable to answer a few basic questions about the menu, and was annoyed that she kept having to go to the back to find the answer. We had 3 orders of the Italian beef, which was good, 1 order of Asian lettuce wraps, which was good, and 2 orders of chicken tenders, both of which were undercooked, with some raw portions. I ordered a cup of soup as my side. When she brought the food and I reminded her about the soup, she said Oh, and never did bring it. When we told her the chicken was not cooked through, the snatched up the plates and took them back to the kitchen. She did say she’d take the chicken off the bill, which she did. We sat and sat and had to ask for the bill. I reminded her to not charge the $2 up charge for the soup, since I never got it. She brought out the bill and the soup charge was on there. She took the bill back and removed the soup. We again sat and sat until I headed toward the kitchen and she finally popped out and seemed surprised that I was handing her money. We were never rude. The small dining room was not busy, just the bar. I did not look at the patio out back, so I cannot comment on that. I just wanted her to do her job. We were tired and weary, and our first meal was not a good start. In the past we have had pizza there and enjoyed it. Prices are. reasonable. I am usually a very good tipper, but I just couldn’t do it this time, so she got an average tip that she did not earn.

Hey Folks, I had a great experience for Friday fish fry. Firstly. Dinner was fantastic. Looking for a great place to gather for a fish fry, 12 pines is on my top 5 fish fry ever. Great fish, if it wasn't, they probably wouldn't have been doing fish fry, obviously. Great portion size. But that is the easy part... In my humble opinion, the sides can make or break the deal. Coleslaw. I have stopped going to restaurants over this... It passed with flying colors. The baked beans. They are yummy, excellent spiciness. I enjoyed them very much. Now, they do chips with their fish, so I ordered fries in their place. I totally did not need to do so. I'm a big guy.. but fries made quite a platter. I ordered a nice beverage. All was right with the world. Ambiance... I was by myself this evening, so I opted to sit at the bar. Bar seating was about 3/4ths taken. They had the jukebox going, which I happened to enjoy. Perfect. The basketball game was to the various TVs. No conflict with either group of people. Music and game folks got on famously. There were actual strangers perfectly willing to talk to a new face, as anywhere I have been. Now the best part. Most folks would lead the story with this, but I choose to be different. The staff. Servers, Bartenders, The Cook (may have been the owner) Ladies delivering drinks and bussing tables. All spectacular.. Patrons were playing songs and trying to see if they could coax a vocal performance from a bartender or passing waitress. It was great. There were a couple groans from game watchers.. WI Lost.. I went out for dinner and ended up having a really good time. Again, excellent service indeed. I hadn't been in there for many years, as I had moved away from the area. They have been well known for their pizzas. I knew those were good. They still certainly looked good. Next time... I'll be back. Try them out. I bet you'll have just as good of an experience as I did. Ryan H

Stopped in on a Thursday night and were seated right away. Bill makes the best pizza we've ever had at Twelve Pines and we've been coming up 3x a year for over 20 years now! Crust was perfect and toppings were more than generous! We will definitely be back for more!

Food was very good, service also in spite of being incredibly busy. Waitresses absolutely busted their butts. Food came out very quickly considering the full dining room and bar and carry out. We had pizza, burgers, broasted chicken, wings, and poppers. I thoughts prices were reasonable.

The waitress was very helpful and friendly. If I could just give her a 5 star rating I would. My husband ordered the 3 piece fried cod dinner. I ordered the 3 piece 50/50, with two pieces of fried cod and one broiled. One piece of my husband’s fish was not cooked until done. It was very mushy on the underside. One of my pieces of fried cod was only cooked half-way through. Instead of being white and flaky, it was grey and slimy.

Camping trip with our kids, we were a party of 9! Rain was in the forecast. And we were craving some pizza. Looked up what was near us. And this place came up. I called ahead to confirm they could take a party of 9 on short notice. I was assured they could! Yay! I was also warned that the kitchen was behind (understandable with the extended unemployment). It was a wait..BUT...we were prepared. Tammy (our server) kept our drinks full, the atmosphere is extremely enjoyable! Kids played volleyball and bags. We had a great time!!! Check this place out! Plus views of the lake!
