Floats were heavy with frozen custard, and root beer was as perfect as my memory of it from the ‘50s. Chili dogs hot and the same as I remembered. Such a treat! My son placed the order and said the counter help was friendly and efficient. Order came out in record time, and we were on our way to the airport in Chicago.

Was perfect going in for supper yesterday, the folks behind the counter were super friendly and it was the opposite of packed inside, food came out piping hot and still do the frosted mugs, looked like the drive up car hop was working still too. Will definitely be coming back their service surpasses Janesville's in leaps and bounds.

I got chicken tenders and fries here with root beer. The tenders were juicy and hot. They were some of the best I ever had. The fries were mediocre at best. They tasted a bit frozen and lacked any distinct quality. The root-beer was chilled and refreshing. Overall, for the price they charge and service they provide, the place is based and justified.

I was really disappointed with my order. The mini corn dogs were completely overcooked and very dark — definitely burnt. It’s surprising and disappointing that these were served in this condition, as it’s clear they were left in the fryer far too long. I understand mistakes happen, but I wouldn’t expect food in this state to be considered acceptable to serve to customers. Service was decent though.
The foyer smells like pee. They need to get that fixed. It's been like that since last summer and maybe beyond. Food is pretty good

Stopped in yesterday for a rootbeer float. The girl who took my order was less than thrilled to take my order. I obviously don’t know what her personal life is like. Maybe not so good. But that doesn’t mean you can’t smile and say thank you. The float itself was less than good. The rootbeer was flat and warm. The Ice cream had no flavor. Ended up throwing it away. The interior is old and run down.

It really is something special walking into an A&W. I can't in good conscience give this A&W 5 stars, but know you're walking into an establishment that will transport you back to a simpler time. The food is amazing as per usual, service is top tier. This is somewhere I can call cozy eating
