The food was amazing, true farm to table taste and our server Mary was very friendly, attentive, and just had great table side manner! She had a perfect white wine pairing with the pasta entre I had and it ended up paring well with the fried calamari appetizer. The dining room is on the smaller side but that didn't take away from our experience. They do have outdoor seating, but just keep in mind wait times if you come with a larger group. Reservations highly recommended during peak hours. We will definitely be dining here again!

My wife, mother in law and I all had a fantastic experience for our first dinner here. When we arrived for our 7:30 reservation they were swamped but they really made an effort to get us seated quickly. Sometimes tables linger longer than expected, certainly not anyone’s fault, everyone was just enjoying themselves. The service from the moment we walked in was professional, sincere and kind.
Mary was our server and she was wonderful. She had great recommendations, was so helpful and cheerful she really added to the positive atmosphere.
The food was excellent — between the 3 of us we had 2 plates of the Paccheri ala Genovese and 1 Diavola pizza. Absolutely loved both dishes. For Dessert we tried the Tiramisu and the Lemon Olive Oil cake. Both of those were beautifully done. We weren’t even hungry after our main dishes but were so happy we got dessert.
Can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend this place. Great vibes and great food.

Mary was a wonderful server! She checked in on us frequently and recommended fantastic dishes such as the bruschetta and the mushroom risotto. Her jovial spirit and dedication to a providing a personal touch to every table she served was incredibly refreshing and I can’t wait to visit again next year!!

Thought Mary was fantastic! Took so much pride in the food I thought she was the owner. She also convinced us to try new things that were loved.

Such knowledgeable and caring service from Mary. We love good Italian food and this was outstanding. The calamari was perfectly prepared, tender and flavorful. A special od bruschetta with their home grown tomatoes was very special. And the homemade pasta was hearty and a lovely al dente. The Italian wine list was impressive and something for everyone. Thank you Mary for your fine recommendations

Imagine our delight to discover Blue Bear/Della Porta here in Door County after enjoying many great meals at their former Racine WI location. Mary, our server, was very welcoming & friendly. The white fish was outstanding and we enjoyed the calamari as well. My Bellini was so yummy. Hope they can secure more good help - this place is a winner!

My husband and I were visiting Door County for the first time, and didn’t realize all the coffee shops closed early. It was around 6pm when we found this place via google, and the hostess seemed pretty annoyed that all we wanted was coffee (we had just finished dinner at Wild Tomato). She reluctantly made a vanilla latte ($9 with tip) while all the while I just wanted to evaporate. For a tourist destination such as Door County, you would expect to be treated with kindness even though what we thought was a casual cafe turned out to be an “upscale”restaurant. To the hostess, I’m sorry if our presence ruined your evening as your attitude ruined my vacation. Three stars out of my pure generosity.
Love coming here, always greeted so kindly by all employees. Very clean environment my food came out with fast service, no complaints or unintended attitude if I ask for a refill or something more. Respect is given at all times.Best Italian food in the norther door.
