I’ve came to sawyer joes multiple times, and for the most part it has been somewhat decent. But when you walk in there, grab a table and sit there for 20 minutes without anyone asking if you want a water or anything then it becomes an issue…. the food is subpar and has only gotten worse since they opened. Quickly going down hill in a hurry.

I had hashbrowns with scrambled eggs, cheese, bacon and onions and a waffle. all was good. waitress was extremely nice. the kitchen staff took care not to cross-contaminate so i would have an allergoc reaction. definitely recommend if you're in ellsworth, wi.

I usually take a vacation twice a year to Nugget Lake Wisconsin. Within just a few miles of the park is SawyerJoe’s this is a awesome little café and we come here and get breakfast.

Met up with family, and 3 of the 5 adults got horribly sick later on in the day, having only eaten here all day. I found a piece of a wooden skewer in my wrap once I got home, too. There was no sign that a skewer had been used to hold the wrap together. Waitress was friendly, but she was overly concerned I didnt like my wrap, too, which was odd at the time, but has come to my attention that our waitress was the owner so makes more sense. Food was very slow getting to table and came out in 2 groups almost 10 minutes apart. Place was not overly busy, just maybe 2 or 3 other tables.

The food and service was amazing... my breakfast came 1 egg short and before I even noticed the waitress called it out and immediately went to get another egg for me without even questioning it. the fact she took pride in providing service and the quality of the food says alot about the management/ownership and that theyre not just there to make a buck. Always great food big portions. If you’re looking for great place to sit down for great breakfast make sure you try them out. Food comes out quick also you don’t have to wait very long. Joe Walter
